Jenga on the Wii?

By Gavlovesfilm (sofacinema.co.uk) Read the full review

Spielberg's foray into computer games and he gives us computerised Jenga. It's fairly good fun and some of the best two player gaming we've had away from Sports. Good family fun but rent it don't buy it

Very addictive puzzle game with hundreds of levels.

At first this game seems too easy and with the cute (but good) graphics and the level creating tool you may in the beginning feel this is a game just for kids but in the tradition of Nintendo gaming its actually extremely good FUN especially when...

Steven Spielberg's first foray into gaming

Hundreds of levels, fantastic user creation options, a real challenge for any gamer

Spielberg's first foray into the gaming world is a cracking puzzler, and one that all the family can enjoy

Boom Blox Wii Review

By Simon Wigham (consoleob.com)

When the collaboration between gaming juggernaut EA and renowned film director Steven Spielberg was announced, people were no doubt expecting something rather cinematic, and certainly not a very gamey puzzle game, of which Boom Blox just so happens to be.

This first collaboration of EA’s three game deal with Stephen Spielberg isn’t what one would have expected from this coming together of giants and some will perhaps be disappointed by this. To puzzle game fans, it will hardly matter though as Boom Blox...

It's even good fun for those who just enjoy knocking things over and making one hell of a mess.

Boom Blox (Wii) review

By Thomas McDermott (darkzero.co.uk)

This whole casual game business still pisses me off to some extent, as many companies don?t seem to understand what gamers want. You have all kinds of shovelware hitting the Wii every week, with most of them abominations that I would not wish on my...

Boom Blox is a game built for the Wii, not because of it. Unlike many other games on the platform it is hard to fathom playing without a Wiimote in your hand. If only for that reason alone it is a title that deserves attention, but thankfully there is...

Then you have companies dumbing down their Wii titles for some weird mind boggling reason. EA completely missed the mark with Boogie and EA Playground last year. THQ have next to no idea what they? ll dump out of their arse next, and by the way...

Boom Blox

By Ben Southam (cubed3.com)

EA. What a beast. The company, no, corporation, that brought us yearly updates to our favourite pastimes, including 'Badminton: Tuesday Edition 08' and 'Lacrosse: Bank Holidays May 04', a few 'Sims' games, the less appreciated Bond games and lots, lots...

A true gem amongst a lot of bile in the Wii's software library. Don't avoid the game for its goofy, Cartoon Network worthy characters, and you'll have a blast. The editor, the explore mode, adventure mode, multiplayer mode, addictiveness - heck - the...

A match made in heaven? From initial impressions of the game, the answer to this might have been a resounding "no" - Boom Blox, the first fruit of this proverbial marriage, certainly didn't resemble the blockbuster hit everyone was expecting - but...

Boom Blox

By Tom Hoggins (dpadmagazine.com)

As a collaboration between the game industry's biggest publisher and Hollywood's most famous movie director launching on the planet's most wildly successful console; you'd think a game like Boom Blox would have arrived with more of a bang. Instead, it...

Boom Blox

Hold on – where on earth did this one come from? Sitting on my desk here in front of me is the rather colourful box for EA's latest Wii game Boom Blox, with lots of little exploding boxes and some pretty odd rectangular animals flying about left, right...

Just above that, the name Steven Spielberg is proudly on display to indicate the helping hand that one of Hollywood’s favourite sons had in making the whole thing. It has the style, sure, and it most definitely has the backing to push it into the...

Boom Blox (Wii) review

By NowGamer ArchiveBot (nowgamer.com)

Award: Family Choice

Steven Spielberg takes the term 'blockbuster' a little too literally

A great kids game. Teens and adults without children, however, may not find Boom Blox so entertaining.

You might not enjoy every single game type that Boom Blox offers, but most of them are a lot of fun, especially if you're playing with friends.

Boom Blox (Wii) Review

By AcidCrashX (wiids.co.uk)

Like Jenga.. but good.

Great physics engine; Oodles of levels; Endless replay value with user created stages

Unless you don't have Nintendo Wi-Fi or friends with a copy; A non-friend level sharing community would have been nice; Controls can get fiddly for precise aiming; Some levels feel a bit samey

Stephen Spielburg creates something kids and adults will enjoy

What's this? A game by Stephen Spielburg? Yes. The premise of Boom Blox is simple: hit blocks and make over blocks fall over in as few hits or throws
