Sonic Rush Adventure is a primarily 2D platform game, with some 3D elements, for the Nintendo DS. The game is the follow-up to the Sonic Rush game, but with enhanced presentation, graphics and in my view much improved game play.
Lots of game play, easy to get into

Sonic the Hedgehog has never really made the jump into next-gen as well as Mario or the Legend of Zelda games. Why? Because he's a bloody smart arse. Sonic was one of the first to become subject to that terror of all video games voice acting. In the...

The first instalment of the Sonic series on the Nintendo DS, and the fourth on Nintendo handhelds, might well be the best Sonic yet - regardless of console. We take a closer look.
Great use of the dual screen, good value multiplayer download play

The popular and favourite blue dude with attitude, Sonic The Hedgehog, blasts his way onto the Nintendo DS and boasts that he can take high-speed action gaming to a whole new level. It seems like only a few years ago that this very hedgehog was...
All in all Sonic Rush is just about on the brink of a must buy title. Sonic fans needs to get up off their booty and run out to get it as soon as possible as it is unquestionably the best Sonic title in recent years. Sonic Rush is what every Sega fan...
A return to the good old fun Sonic games. On the other hand if you are just a fan of platformers and have a passing interest in the little blue speed freak you could bide your time and wait until that inevitable price drop that will come in the January...

The blue blur has taken a trip down memory lane and returned looking and feeling better than ever before. (No sexual implications intended.) Sonic Rush brings the classic gameplay formula from nigh on all previous 2D Sonic outings and spices things up...
Sonic hasn't done so well in 3D as some might have hoped, Sonic Rush rectifies this problem by heading back to the good 'ol days of sprites and 16-bit gaming. An excellent decision.
But does it really represent the return to form many gamers have been looking for since the 3D instalment's?

We know he's quick, but can the world's fastest hedgehog be just too speedy for fun?
The problem with speed though is what happens when you want to turn a corner. A rollercoaster has rails, the falcon can change the shape of its wings. Even light diffuses

The majority of the story is told after defeating the world boss and is more focused on Blaze and Sonic's relationship rather than the baddies. Honestly, do we expect much of a story from Sonic? No. We want speed, rings and fluffy, vividly colored...
And that is what we got. The boss battles are also old school, and are spiced up by being presented in pseudo-3D or full 3D depending on the fight. The fights may have been spruced up for this generation, but they don't lend much to the story; they...

Sonic returns to his real racing roots in his latest portable adventure. But will it be enough to earn him some new fans?
Game play that's a throwback to the Sonic of yesteryear; gorgeous graphics
Game play will be too simplistic for some; lame multiplayer mode
