Today I will be reviewing Magical Starsign for the nintendo ds console system. Magical Starsign has an ok script with humour definately one of this games strong points along with its large roster of characters during the story mode sections. But apart...
Humourous script in story mode, colour graphics (nice uses of colours)
Mediocre sound effects, repetitive dungeon levels and battle system needs work

The DS may not have as many racing titles as the PSP, but there seems to be enough out there to appeal to fans of at least one genre. One of the more overdone sub-genres in racing games for the DS are street racing ones. With four Need For Speed titles...
Looks great and features a good number of licensed cars
Stripped gameplay modes versus other versions. No online multiplayer. Free cars

Beards, sausages and yolks. Ah, it's one of those games
It's all stylus controlled, and while it's sometimes clumsy, this is a welcome innovation. If only it were more neatly wired in, it would have been splendid. But as with everything else here, it's a nice idea that doesn't quite shine.

We foresee future happiness
It's a quest that, inevitably, features a lot of exploring dungeons, battling monsters, solving problems, and running around towns

Magical Starsign is a lighthearted role-playing adventure that partially makes up for a lack of gameplay depth with its quirky, oddball world.
Magical Starsign offers up a quirky cast and some genuine humor, and while the battles aren't all that nuanced, they're easy to grasp. Younger role-players and those who can appreciate a cute script, a world that positively brims with gummi frogs ripe...

Magical Starsign is a colorful and lighthearted role-playing game that tries its very best to charm you right out of the gate. From the overly cutesy art style to the game's amusing penchant for naming characters after foods, there's almost always...
While its starsign-based, sometimes awkwardly paced battle system and simplistic storyline are short on depth, there's enough personality filling the niches to keep this little RPG appealing.

Sequel to the Japan-only release of Magical Vacation (a GBA title), Magical Starsign is the second in Brownie Brown's original RPG series. The game was published by Nintendo a week before Square Enix's Children of Mana, and Nintendo advertised the two...
The highest review I'd given a DS RPG yet was a 90%, and that went to Taito's LostMagic, an interesting RTS/traditional-strategy/action RPG hybrid. Magical Starsign does an excellent job at taking the classic Turn-Based RPG formula and turning it into...
I'd played around with the import version of Children of Mana, and it didn't impress me, so I chose to go with Magical Starsign and see how it fared.

The mage of Aquarius.
Solid old-school RPG; Good localization; Looks and sounds nice
Been here, done this; Have to use stylus for everything; Only five spells
You begin by choosing a male or female avatar and either light or dark magic. The story begins at a magical academy where you and your friends are students. Your teacher sets off on a trip to another planet, doesn't come back and wouldn't you know it,...
As you can probably tell, the storyline is about generic as it gets. But what Magical Starsign lacks in plot, it makes up for with great dialogue. I found a lot of it to be humorous and amusing. It's not going to choke you up with laughter like Borat,...
