Decisions, decisions. Who needs 'em? Why should you have to choose what to put on your iPod? With large storage capacity, iPod classic lets you carry everything in your collection - up to 40.000 songs or up to 200 hours of video - everywhere you go. In a completely new, even thinner, all-metal design, this iPod is a modern classic. The iPod classic gives your music and video room to move. It also has plenty of energy (up to 40 hours of audio playback), good looks (a sleek, all-metal design)...

Other manufacturers appear to have given up on hard disk-based MP3 players, but not Apple. The latest iPod Classic has a huge 160GB capacity, yet it's no thicker than three £1 coins thanks to its single-platter 1.8in hard disk.
It has plenty of storage and excellent battery life, but niggling audio quality issues prevent it getting an unqualified recommendation.

Can the third-generation iPod classic stay attractive with the dwindling popularity of high-capacity hard drive-based MP3 players? We find out.
Sleek design; easy-to-use interface; great podcast support; genius feature; video playback is excellent; rated battery life is great
EQ control is limited; some older iPod video accessories may not be compatible; the plastic screen is susceptible to scratching; users are required to use the latest version of iTunes, which may not work on some older computer systems
As the availability of high-capacity hard drive MP3 players seems to be on the decline, we're happy to see that Apple is continuing to develop them. The iPod classic doesn't deliver the futuristic novelty of the iPod nano or the iPod touch, but it is...

Apple's latest iPod may sport a new user interface, a slimmer profile and a maximum onboard capacity of up to 160GB, but is it worth the upgrade? Our review has the answer.
The iPod classic is just like the Video iPod, only slimmer, tougher, and injected with a more visually rich graphic user interface
Video output requires a proprietary cable; audio quality has not improved; some older iPod video accessories may not be compatible; users are required to use the latest version of iTunes, which may not work on some older computer systems
The iPod classic is a refinement of the formula that put the iPod on the map. Few can match its combination of storage capacity, battery life, and advanced user interface.

Version 6 of the iPod brings a marginal evolution to the table
Huge storage space, improved interface, fast data transfer, good battery life, value for money
Click-wheel accuracy lower than previous models, bundled ear-phones could have been better, no major additions to the feature-list

Sluggish/balky menus; no docking station included; requires iTunes 7
The Apple iPod Classic which we review, is slim, and offers more storage, but gives current iPod owners little reason to upgrade.
Some would argue that Apple’s simply given up on furthering the original iPod design so totally that they hope the “Classic” moniker will set folks’ expectations low. So what can you really anticipate from the ‘all-new' Classic models? Just that same...
