Roccat Tyon

A mouse with 16 buttons all of which are actually useful!

All those extra buttons are actually easy to use ; Overall performance is excellent ; Extra buttons really enhance certain games and apps ; Lighting looks great

Ergonomics is good but not the best ; Software is slow and takes forever to apply settings ; It is expensive

Good ergonomics, a nice design and bucket loads of useful features make this mouse a real contender. It is pricey, though, so it’s worth having a think if you’ll likely use all those extras.

The Roccat Tyon is an excellent 14-button mouse for those who can't get used to the Naga's numpad-style design.

So many buttons ; Easy-Shift modifier key is sorely missed when returning to competing devices

Roccat Tyon

The Roccat Tyon is brimming with features, including innovations you won't find on other gaming mice, but for the fullest experience, you'll need to pair it with a Roccat keyboard.

Innovative features, like the Dorsal Fin button and an analog thumb-paddle. Conveniently placed thumb button opens up dozens of customizable features.

Pricey. Some features unusable without Roccat keyboard. Some buttons awkwardly placed.

Conclusion The Roccat Tyon is a very good gaming mouse on its own, but it's at its best when paired with a Roccat keyboard, like the Ryos MK Pro. If you're already a Roccat user, that's very good news, but if your battle station is cobbled together...

Roccat's Tyon is one of the most hardcore gaming mice we've ever seen. With 14 physical buttons, the mouse definitely isn't for casual gamers. Does it hit all the right marks as a hardcore gaming mouse though?
