LG D2342P Cinema 3D Monitor review

LG's first Cinema 3D passive monitor should fit the bill

Good passive 3D ; Connectivity ; Lightweight glasses

Drop in motion resolution ; Not brilliant greyscale tracking

LG Cinema 3D D2342P review

LG brings its low-cost Cinema 3D technology and disposable 3D glasses to the world of PC monitors with the 23-inch D2342P. The result is a sharp, all-purpose display that offers comfortable stereoscopic gaming and movie watching -- so long as you keep...

Flicker-free 3D ; Comfortable, inexpensive glasses ; Decent general purpose and gaming PC monitor

Narrow 3D sweet spot ; Limited black level ; Low motion resolution

We're glad to see LG's low-cost, easy on the eye Cinema 3D migrate to the PC monitor market. Freedom from cumbersome, flickering Active Shutter glances is a boon for 3D PC gamers. Just bear in mind the general tightness of its stereoscopic sweetspot --...

LG Flatron D2342P monitor review

Product LG D2342P Website www.lg.com Specifications 23in LED 3D display, 1920x1080 resolution, 16:9 aspect, 5ms response time, 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, VGA, DVI, HDMI connectivity

Classy good looks, easy to set up, two pairs of glasses (one clip on)

Poor 3D image quality, bad crosstalk, limited adjustment, awkward viewing distance

Out of the box, the monitor was super quick and easy to setup and get using. There is one part that clips onto the monitor which then screws to the base section with a single thumb screw

LG Flatron D2342 3D LED-Backlit Monitor

LG's Cinema 3D line of TVs that we reviewed impressed us. It was only a matter of time before LG decided to bring the same technology down to LCD monitors. The LG Flatron D2342 is one such product. As 3D content in the form of games and videos...

All in all, the LG D2342 is a decent buy at Rs.16,650. It’s a 23-inch display that can be used for 3D games and movies. It's a good 2D performer as well.

RECOMMENDED PRODUCT

LG D2342P

Finding content for a 3D television is like trying to find a decent pizza on the west coast. You just have to look too hard. The current selection of 3D Blu-ray discs mostly consists of post-processed garbage, Sony only offers a handful of 3D titles...

Convincing 3D performance ; Passive glasses are inexpensive, comfortable ; Reasonably bright, even in 3D ; Respectable 2D performance

Flimsy stand with little adjustment ; Menu options inexplicably locked out on DVI input ; Faint “comb” effect up close

Above-average 2D performance makes the LG D2342P a reliable desktop companion, and passive 3D technology gives it a convincing and comfortable-to-watch 3D presentation, too.

LG D2342P

The LG Flatron D2342P offers inexpensive 3D, with disappointing performance.

The LG Flatron D2342P is an inexpensive way to get 3D on a PC monitor. The monitor showed little to no color tint inaccuracy and dark details can be easily seen in movies. Also, it displays 3D pictures well.

The D2342P's 3D performance in games includes plenty of ghosting and the 3D lacks depth in movies and games. Colors in games look drab, black looks more like medium gray, and the monitor has a flimsy build quality.

LG D2342P

By offering a 3D monitor that eschews the $100 Nvidia 3D Vision Kit in favor of a more affordable option, LG is attempting to widen the 3D market with its Flatron D2342P monitor. The display comes with a pair of passive 3D glasses, which are a lot...

LG D2342

The LG D2342 is a 60Hz, LED-backlit LCD monitor with passive 3D capability. The visual quality doesn't match that of active (shutter-glasses) 3D technology, but the price is good and additional glasses cost next-to-nothing.

LG D2342P-PN: 3D on Your Desk

Few will contend the fact that the era of 3D technology is well underway. 3D screenings are slowly outnumbering 2D ones in cinemas, and virtually all recent Hollywood blockbusters are shot with 3D cameras. The world with an extra dimension, whether on...
