The 34-inch LG 34UC98-W is an attractive curved-screen monitor that offers AMD's FreeSync anti-tearing technology, a solid feature set, and very good gaming performance.

Today we're checking out LG's latest curved gaming monitor: the 34UC98. It's an IPS screen with 3440x1440 pixels, FreeSync, a 75Hz max refresh rate and MaxxAudio-tuned speakers.

This replaced a dual monitor set-up and with the LG screen manager you can easily select different layouts to suit what you are doing. I run Lightroom using half the screen for the programme and the other half as a preview window.

Can't say anything bad about this monitor but it only thing I'd like to see is additional display port & HDMI socket.

I decided to go for 3440x1440 rather than 4k or 5k because the aspect ratio feels so comfortable and so much more attractive than 16:10. I intend to use it with Cubase and Final Cut pro. Easy to connect my MacBook Pro and desktop PC. Beautiful looking...
