Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421

A 1kg, 14in, portable USB monitor to use as a secondary display with your laptop.

Durable, thin and light, Protective cover, Matt finish on screen and body, Runs completely off a single USB, Adequate image quality

No portrait mode, Relatively expensive due to lack of competition, Some image quality issues make it unsuitable for photo work

Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 Portable Monitor

The Lenovo ThinkVision 14in monitor provides extra screen space in a slim, portable, and simple-to-set-up package.

Portable ; Easy to set up ; No power adapter required

Cover can be difficult to put on and remove ; Narrow viewing angles ; Can't render gradients smoothly

Lenovo's ThinkVision LT1421 is a great dual-monitor solution for laptop users. It's light and easy to carry and draws all its power from your laptop's USB port. Its picture quality isn't great, but that's not the main selling point of the unit -- it's...

Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421

Sometimes a laptop screen just doesn't cut it if you're working with spreadsheets or giving a presentation to a small group. Enter the Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 ($199.99 list), a portable 14-inch monitor driven and powered by your laptop's USB port....

Lightweight. USB powered. Good color and text quality

Weak light grayscale performance. Lacks picture settings

The Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 portable 14-inch monitor is a great travel companion for users requiring more screen real estate while on the road.

Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421

Gives extra screen real estate for the mobile warrior ; Is light and slim enough to tote around in your laptop bag

Poor viewing angles ; Corruption visible when USB 2.0 bandwidth isn't enough ; Limited colour palette ; Shallow viewing angles

The ThinkVision is an acceptable accessory if you need extra screen real estate on the go. Just don't expect flawless imagery.

Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 14-inch Portable USB Monitor Review

Final Thoughts You know you really take multiple displays for granted when you don't have them anymore.  This always happens to me when I travel, and makes adjusting to a single display much harder.  Lenovo really did a great job with the ThinkVision...

– Slim design, – Easy to setup, – No extra power adapter, – USB connection rather than DVI, VGA or HDMI

– Since there is no external power it will drain your laptops battery

Lenovo ThinkVision LT1421 14″ LCD monitor with Plastic Cover Review

This post brought to you by Lenovo. All opinions are 100% mine. Is it possible to have a computer monitor that is too large? I think not! More is always better when it comes to screen real estate. But adding a 2nd monitor to your desktop or your laptop...

Very portable ; Great viewing angle ; Connects via USB ; Does not require an AC adapter or power cord

Screen rotation feature wouldn't work with my 27" iMac ; No VESA mount
