Dell UltraSharp UP2715K

The Dell UP2715K is an ultra-high resolution 27-inch monitor that packs in an astonishing 5,120 x 2,880 pixels – that's 5K resolution. It also has 99% AdobeRGB colour coverage, making it perhaps the ultimate professional photographer or videographer's...

Astonishing 5K resolution ; Exceptional image quality ; Fully adjustable stand ; Surprisingly good built-in speakers

Windows sometimes doesn't cope with 5K resolution ; Glossy glass screen catches reflections ; No HDMI inputs

Dell UltraSharp UP2715K 5K IPS Widescreen Review

The Dell UltraSharp UP2715K is the company's flagship colour-accurate 27-inch IPS display with a number of unique features. Top of the list is an enormous 5K resolution, giving greater pixel density than even 4K screens. There's also higher colour...

Colour-accurate displays are very expensive indeed.

Dell UltraSharp UP2715K

The Dell UltraSharp UP2715K is an expensive 27-inch monitor that delivers a beautiful 5K picture along with a robust feature set.

Very good performance. Stunning 5K imagery. Loads of features.

Expensive. Requires dual DisplayPort signal for 5K. No side-mounted USB ports.

Conclusion The Dell UltraSharp UP2715K is one of the few models available if you're a Windows user who wants a UHD 5K monitor. It gives solid gray-scale and color performance, wide viewing angles, and excellent image detail. Moreover, it offers a fully...

Dell UP2715K review

The Dell UP2715K is too expensive to be practical, but we could stare at it for weeks.

Dell is pushing the edge of technology with this display. While Apple’s iMac with Retina came first, it also isn’t usable with external input, which means Dell can still claim the title of “world’s first 5K monitor.” There’s nothing else like it in the...

Dell UP2715K 27-inch 5K Monitor Review

Users have barely warmed up to 4K (Ultra HD) displays but that hasn't stopped Dell from introducing a 5K monitor: the UP2715K. With professional cred and a factory calibration, we explore what you get for its premium price tag.

5K resolution•Many calibration options•Auto-cal software included•Rich saturated color•Solid build•Slick styling

Weak out-of-box performance•Minor light-bleed in our sample•Middling contrast

For those seeking the highest available pixel density in a desktop monitor, Dell and HP are at the top of the heap for the moment. Considering the technology, pricing isn't too ridiculous but it is at the premium level. Dell provides every possible...

A Review of Dell’s better than 4K Ultra HD 5K UP2715K 27-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor

Well before Apple revealed its exquisite iMac desktop computer with a 5K Retina display, backin September of 2014, Dell teasingly showed fans a PC display that could have definitely been called ahead of its time. The Ultra HD 5K UP2715K 27-Inch monitor...

Excellent refresh rate ; decent contrast ratio ; Very high color gamut ; 16:9 aspect ratio ; The 5K resolution ; Nice design ; Two DisplayPort 1.2 ports!

Bad response time ; Too expensive ; Scales SD and HD video badly thanks to 5K resolution

This is a great monitor but on the whole, it’s a bit too expensive for what it offers. You’re better off with a much cheaper 4K monitor with better response times for any 4K gaming you’d want to do and a professional 4K monitor that includes better...

Dell UltraSharp UP2715K

Absolutely amazing display. Beautiful colours and incredible resolution. Even the sound is pretty good.

Make sure your graphic card supports it. You need 2 x display port 1.2 or better to get the highest resolution

Best 5K monitor on the market, if your hardware can run it.

If you work with high DPI graphics or prefer extra sharp text, I recommend this monitor, if you can get a good deal on it and if your graphics card will work with it. I am using it with a late 2013 Macbook Pro with discrete graphics (NVidia GT 750M).

Incredibly sharp text and high res photos thanks to 5K resolution. Accurate colors (see reviews and benchmarks). Best 5K monitor available (see reviews comparing this to other 5K displays). Nice sound quality.

Needs a graphics card with two DisplayPort 1.2 ports and Display ID. Make sure you will be able to use this monitor before buying it.

Monitor continually becomes unresponsive

I have the monitor configured to *not* go into power save mode but that makes no difference. I will be returning this monitor. If it worked, I'd love it. But it simply doesn't work. Dell moderates posts to their support forum and, so far, have not...

Running this display at 5120x2880 using a Radeon R9 295X2. Very nice display during the 10-15 minutes it works between power cycles.

After a minute or two, all the side buttons become unresponsive. You can no longer power off the monitor, bring up the on-screen menu, or change any settings. At this time, running the Dell Display Manager produces an error stating "This program...
