Asus VG278H

When it debuted a few years ago, the Nvidia 3D Vision Kit required four components to work properly: 3D glasses, an Nvidia graphics card, a compatible display, and a separate, USB-connected 3D emitter.

The Asus VG278H delivers great 3D performance, a superfast refresh rate, and useful ergonomic options.

The monitor is expensive, given what it offers. Also, accessing the connections can be maddening, there is significant backlight bleeding, and the OSD navigation is clunky and obtrusive.

The Asus VG278H has great 3D performance and a fast refresh rate, but is just a bit too expensive for what it offers.

The Asus VG278H has everything you need to enjoy realistic 3D gaming right out of the box. It may be a bit pricey and lack USB ports, but this 27-inch gaming monitor offers a lot of bang for your buck in terms of performance and features.

Great Overall

I was using an IPS monitor before this with fluorescent back lighting, so it is possible that the contrast issue is more of a thing with LED back lighting.

3D is amazing and playing games at 120hz is so smooth, not to mention how nice it is being able to turn VSync off and get virtually no tearing

The only con with this monitor is a contrast issue. If you have the contrast up very high at all things look washed out and even worse, with dark images, especially when gaming or watching videos, you can see gray light illuminating from the sides of...

I love this monitor

The cons list looks larger, but in the end the monitor is awesome. If you're looking for a gaming monitor on an Nvidea rig, look no further. Just buy it!

LOVE this monitor!

This monitor is great, hands down. I have been tempted to get a 3D monitor for over a year and am extremely glad I decided to go with the ASUS VG278H. 3D video playback is probably this monitor's strong point, but 3D gaming is also fun and very smooth....

Great contrast and brightness ; 3D is incredible when viewing 3D blu-ray videos ; 3D gaming is fun, although not the reason I made the purchase ; The built in speakers aren't half bad
