Asus PB287Q

A 4K gaming monitor for £600. Is there a catch?

Good features for price ; Low input lag ; 60Hz over DisplayPort ; Good basic image quality

Poor vertical viewing angles ; Fussy OSD and controls ; There are cheaper 4K monitors

To the PB287Q’s credit, however, aside from ‘VividText’ the default settings look pretty good. It’s also very easily to assemble and disassemble, with a single screw to fasten the base to the monitor’s arm.

Asus PB287Q review

An affordable, powerful 4K monitor

Stunning images ; Price ; Versatility

Navigation ; Blindspots ; Boring design

This machine isn't perfect, but it produces perfect images, especially if you're nowhere near sunlight. Photographers, designers and videographers will love this unit.

Review: ASUS PB287 4K monitor

Going on sale this month for $699, the ASUS PB287Q welcomes us to the 4K-resolution revolution, where photos and videos look incredible… but you're going to need your prescription updated for reading.

But if you’re looking to add 4K to your desktop, and you don’t want to take out that second mortgage or stop paying for daycare, the ASUS PB287Q makes a fine and reasonably priced option.

Asus delivers a giant-sized 4K monitor with good image quality and a solid fist of features for a bargain price

Competitively priced

TN panel can’t compete with a quality IPS or IGZO panel.

Kitguru says: The ASUS PB287Q isn’t perfect, but for the price and the target audience, the many pros easily outweigh the cons.

Asus PB287Q

The Asus PB287Q is a 28-inch Ultra High-Definition (UHD) monitor that delivers stunning 4K imagery and handles fast motion with aplomb, all for a reasonable price.

Relatively affordable. Outstanding Ultra High-Definition (UHD) image quality. Solid performance and feature set. Fast pixel response.

So-so viewing angle performance. Slightly skewed greens. No USB ports.

Conclusion The Asus PB287Q does a remarkable job of displaying crystal-clear UHD content and can handle fast-action gaming smoothly and cleanly. Its viewing angle performance is noticeably better than what I've seen from most TN panels, though it still...

Asus PB287Q Monitor Review

Generation 4K. Notebookcheck tries something new and reviews the high-resolution 28-inch display Asus PB287Q. Read our review to find out whether the Ultra HD model is worth its price.

The main issue is still the enormous performance requirements. Notebook GPUs in particular have problems with the frame rates in complex titles. Even high-end chips like the GeForce GTX 980M or GTX 970M quickly drop below 30 fps in higher settings....
