Vodafone 555 Blue

The Vodafone 555 Blue is the latest Facebook phone to hit the market. But when we say market, we don't just mean the markets here in the UK. Oh no, Vodafone has big plans with regards to opening up Facebook to millions of mobile users worldwide - at...

Cheap, decent build quality, Facebook-tastic

Slow, no 3G or Wi-Fi, lack of apps

When Pocket-lint went to the launch of the 555 it was clear that much of Vodafone's market research was done in emerging markets for the mobile industry, such as India and South Africa – where Facebook is high on the agenda for young people, but where...

Vodafone 555 Blue review

Keeping you connected without phone contract commitments

Deep Facebook integration ; Excellent ease of navigation ; Cheap ; QWERTY keyboard ; Single LED camera flash

Slow connectivity speeds and no Wi-Fi ; 200Mhz processor ; Only a 2MP camera ; Navigating Facebook picture albums or watching videos are a lot of bother ; 2.4-inch screen

With social network-'addicted' teens and a global Facebook population greater than that of the United States, bringing out an affordable PAYG Facebook-integrated feature phone should be a sure bet, in theory. But then we also know that there are lies,...

Vodafone 555 Blue

The oddly-named '555 Blue' is Vodafone's low-end alternative to the HTC ChaCha, and sees the 'Facebook Phone' fad coming to the feature phone market.

Vodafone's handset does away with the popular Android OS, and instead runs a the network's new proprietary operating system, complete with Facebook integrated 'heavily' into everything.

Vodafone 555 review

If HTC thought it was going to have the monopoly on handsets with an integrated Facebook button, it was wrong. Vodafone's 555 Blue also has this feature and it's available for under £100 on pay as you go.

Well-made keyboard, Dedicated, customisable Facebook key, Facebook integration is good

No HSDPA, No Wi-Fi, Proprietary

The Vodafone is a very Facebook-centric phone with some nifty features, but it's let down by a lack of core features
