Sony Ericsson Naite review

Manufactured from recyclable materials, shipping without a physical user guide and featuring a charger that minimises power consumption, the Sony Ericsson Naite is the first "GreenHeart" mobile phone.

The Sony Ericsson Naite is a solid yet largely uninspiring handset. Its green credentials are admirable, but it is expensive for a low-end mobile phone.

Sony Ericsson Naite Review

The Sony Ericsson Naite is a 'green' phone - not literally, it's actually silver and black and looks a lot like Nokia's popular 6700 classic. But it's purported to be environmentally friendly as part of…

Sony Ericsson Naite Review

Sony Ericsson is all set to hop aboard the green bandwagon and the Naite seems to be one of their first steps in that direction. Boasting 'green credentials' Sony Ericsson hope the Naite otherwise known as the Naite Green Heart will secure...

Sony Ericsson Naite

Sony Ericsson\'s eco-friendly Naite adds another facet to an environmentally conscious lifestyle, catering for those who care about the impact they have on the environment.

The environmentally centered design and operation might just make you sleep a bit better at night.

The keypad is small and our fingers aren\'t, so messaging isn\'t a breeze. Styling is perhaps a bit too conservative and generic and doesn\'t highlight the uniqueness of the concept behind the phone.

Sony Ericsson Naite

The Sony Ericsson Naite is the first in a new line of GreenHeart eco friendly blowers from the phone peddler, promising a 15% reduced carbon footprint, a shell made from at least 50% recycled plastics, and a low power charger. It'll still work as a...

Hats off to Sony Ericsson for trying to go green with the Sony Ericsson Naite. Why launch a phone to celebrate that though, then strip out the decent specs? Keep up the eco work guys, but get back to making Cyber-shots, please. Sony Ericsson Naite is...

Sony Ericsson Naite review

Green guilt is spreading. And so are green gadgets. The Samsung Blue Earth and LG Pop both aim to save the planet with solar charging and apps to keep your carbon footprint in check. And the Sony Ericsson Naite is also vying for your attention, showing...

Green credentials

Very basic, lacks cool feature, conservation quiz

A basic green phone that doesn't compare well to rivals the Samsung Blue Earth and LG Pop

Sony Ericsson Naite mobile phone

Sony Ericsson's first GreenHeart mobile phone is eco-friendly but basic

Made from recycled plastic; charger minimises power consumption; solid design; good keypad and controls; 3G; Facebook, Twitter and YouTube apps pre-installed

Price; no 3.5mm headphone jack; rear cover can be tricky to remove

Sony Ericsson Naite (Unlocked)

Sometimes you just need a phone. Maybe you're traveling internationally, or your AT&T or T-Mobile contract isn't up yet. The Sony Ericsson Naite is a great affordable, unlocked phone for folks who need a GSM voice and multimedia phone, to use either...

Classy style. Good voice quality. Well designed UI. Excellent music and video playback. Inexpensive for an unlocked world phone

No GPS. Proprietary headphone jack. Weak speakerphone

Sony Ericsson scores with the Naite, a powerful unlocked phone that works on high-speed networks here and overseas and rings in at a tempting price.

Sony Ericsson Naite (unlocked) review:

It may sound like an object in an interplanetary tongue, but the Sony Ericsson Naite (pronounced nigh-tay) has its roots sunk deep in Earth. Like the Samsung Blue Earth , the Samsung Reclaim , and the Motorola Renew , the Naite is billed as an...

Sony Ericsson's Naite offers a clear, sharp display with smooth navigation and plenty of organizational and multimedia goodies under the hood. E-mail, an FM music player, and music, photo, and video-editing tools stand out.

A nonstandard headphone and charger jack, slightly cramped dial pad, and terrible speakerphone don't do the Naite any favors. Some of the best multimedia features like video calls don't work in North America. Associating a contact with a photo is less...

The esoterically named Sony Ericsson Naite may classify as a feel-good eco-phone, but its packed feature and toolsets make it a good pick for socialites shopping in the midlevel range--daintier carbon footprints notwithstanding.
