Sony Ericsson Akono HBH-600 review

Sony Ericsson's new HBH-600 Bluetooth headset seems to be a marked improvement over previous versions, albeit in some surprising ways. Aside from the user changeable faceplates, the battery is almost double that of its predecessor, the HBH-65...

How did I not own these before!

These were recommended to me by DJ Heather, Derrick Carter, and Mark Farina. Look them up. They've all been in the DJ game for many years, and they use them exclusively. The proof is in the pudding.

Bass is CRYSTAL clear, and the highs are never overwhelming. They don't have that initial "lux" factor like some of the other over ears do, but I can wear these for hours without discomfort. I'm a DJ so this is important. I had a pair of Sony MDR's...

great

Long cord, great sound, good fit and a nice case to store them in

tends to make my ear hurt after prolonged use, but not enough to make me stop using them

solid

pretty good headphones when it comes to sound & quality... but not as good as my SENNHEISER HD 485 which broke a while back... those were the best cans i have owned till this day wish newegg still sold them

pretty solid set of cans... the cord is pretty heavy duty (doesnt feel like ill rip it apart) ; i have put them through a pretty good break in period, havnt notice a significant difference from the first day i had them but i suppose they sounded pretty...

they get pretty warm when in use for long periods of time... i could be at my PC for over a few hours... & after the 1st hour i am sweating ; wish more cans on the market would come with a cloth foam pad & not the pleather junk

Amazing

Would like a detachable cable, but can't complain at this price/quality ratio. These suckers are big, so be ready. They envelop your ears, which is good to me but may be a con to some. Do yourself a favor and jump on these

Cryatal Clear from highs to lows ; Carrying bag ; Seems to have durable cable and connecter ; great price for quality ; Perfect for studio moniters

None really

Flawless-phones

I've owned a pair for years & years... They've been the best pair of headphones I've ever owned and ever used. My brother bought a pair and I had to have the same. I bought them @ CCity long ago when they were $100+ and still wouldn't hesitate to lay...

Fullest sound you'd expect from a perfect pair of headphones; crisp, clear, full sounding, deep bass, etc. Durable & collapsible

What? Cons

Great buy for the price!!

With 45 ohm impedance, it doesn't need an amplifier. Good for iPod or other portable audio device.

I was using IXOS DJ-series headphone from UK which was over $100. This SONY headphone is cheaper, but the sound quality is even better. Crystal clear, good sound clarity and resolution

Bass range is not that powerful. I would say it is more 'balanced' though. I don't like exaggerated bass because I am a classical music lover, so it just works fine for me. However, it might be a con for rock music lovers maybe

like hearing music for the first time

Second best investment of my life, next to my iPod. But now, I need a SanDisk Clip + to play FLAC.

The sound quality is superior to every other pair of headphones I have owned... and it gets better and better with use, probably due to the burn-in theory ; Blocks out sound with circamural earcups ; Used for hours at a time, still comfortable ; Sound...

The cord is designed for monitoring, as they are monitor headphones... doesn't stop me from taking it outside at night during my travels and the music seriously makes you feel... ecstatic ; The 75 dollar price tag is no con; these are worth every last...

Decent Monitors

"These are comfortable monitors that portray the bass, mids, and highs well enough for standard CD-quality music, but they seem to get dodgy in the extremes. I used these cans primarily for recording purposes, and in my opinion, the highs are screechy...

Comfortable, Adjustable, Long-lasting, Clear mids and good overall sound quality

Poor high and low range sound, Not for professional studio recording
