Sony Ericsson S312

The Sony Ericsson S312 is pitched as an entry-level handset, with a few added touches that bring the camera to the fore. But is this a viable camera phone, or does it struggle to drag itself out of the bargain basement? The S312 is a typical candybar...

Simple to use, practical camera shortcuts

Cheap materials, poor keyboard, poor video capture

The Sony Ericsson S312 attempts to deliver a little more convenience for camera users, without really upping the results at the end of it. To call it a camera phone will only set it up for a fall: this is an entry-level handset, which unfortunately due...

Sony Ericsson S312

Niall takes Sony Ericsson's rather attractive S312 budget handset for a spin.

Sony Ericsson S312 Review

There's something pleasing about an entry level phone that looks good enough to hold its head up around the more pricy models. The Sony Ericsson S312 falls into this category thanks to the mirrored…

Sony Ericsson S312 review -

With 480 minutes? talktime and 400 hours? standby, the Sony Ericsson S312 offers a decent battery life

The two-inch screen has too much of a detrimental effect on features such as the camera and web browser

Sony Ericsson S312 : sony Ericsson S312

While Sony Ericsson's main market push seems to concentrate on the feature-rich, high-end products, the company has released models designed for the less-demanding user.

Of all the various Sony Ericsson handsets I have looked at, the S312 is perhaps the smallest unit yet. Even down to the packaging and the folded User Guide, this product goes for the compact look. Adopting the candy bar style, the S312 is available in...

Sony Ericsson S312 review

The Sony Ericsson S312 is a quirky little phone with a shiny shell and a slim, firm, form factor that feels nicer than any Sony Ericsson dumbphone we've seen in a long while. Is it all looks and no brains though? Find out in our Sony Ericsson S312 review.

Space age shell

Laggy

One of the coolest looking dumbphones we've seen this year

Sony Ericsson S312

Not actually a bad phone, simply one you'd be hard pressed to spot in a crowd.

If you want a low-cost PAYG phone, the Sony Ericsson S312 isn't bad. But there are plenty of alternatives to choose from, and there's nothing that makes this one stand out from the crowd.

Sony Ericsson S312 review

We review the Sony Ericsson S312, a budget phone with a budget vibe that unfortunately extends to its looks

Decent keypad ; FM Radio

Dodgy gold trim on silver version ; Washed-out display ; No autofocus on camera

The Sony Ericsson S312 offers a decent keypad, but questionable styling and a washed-out screen make sure it doesn't break out of fairly mediocre territory

Sony Ericsson S312 review

The S312 is another in Sony Ericsson's low priced low end devices and so often it is natural to instantly assume that low price = low quality and with these devices Sony Ericsson are desperately trying to change this perception and portray...

Sony Ericsson S312

Although cosmetically the S312 is prettier to look at than the S302, the other differences are not very obvious. One feature that the S312 has is a dedicated "video record" button, which is quite handy. Also, the camera shortcut keys light up when the...
