Sharp 903 review

Mark Harris awards Sharp's 903 phone the triple crown

Packed full of goodies ; Great camera

It's not free on contract

Its high price and chunky size mean the 903 isn't the handset to kill off the budget camera market just yet. But with 3MP images that rival the cheapest budget cameras and a fine selection of usable phone and multimedia features, it's the closest thing...

Forget the hype about the other camphones – this is the best we've seen by a mighty long yoga-aided stretch

A couple of twists later and it’s a 3G phone again. That's days of novelty value for starters.

Sharp 903 3G Phone

It seems that Sharp can't launch a camera phone these days without setting photographic standards for all to follow.

Sharp 903

The Sharp 903 is a 3G handset exclusive to the Vodafone Live! Network, which boasts a stunning 3.2 megapixel camera with 2x optical zoom, TV out, and ...

3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and 2x optical zoom, large, crystal clear display, swiveling screen for camera operation, TV out, mini SD slot for memory expansion

Large and bulky, no external screen, only 8MB of internal memory, no included USB cable, below par music function and poor quality headphones, no 3.5mm standard headphone jack

The 903 boasts an outstanding camera and display screen and has a wide variety of features.

Sharp 903 3.2 megapixel cameraphone reviewed

Sharp may not be the first name that comes to mind when we think of cellphones or digital cameras, but the company's 3.2 megapixel 903 cameraphone (also known as the SX833) is out now in Europe, and Mobileburn got to check it out. While...

Sharp 903

Australia's first 3-megapixel camera phone, the Sharp 903, is available exlusively on Vodafone's 3G network. It comes with Bluetooth, a 260K-colour LCD and 8MB of internal memory.

Great camera ; Superb screen ; Easy to use ; MiniSD cards are easy to swap, thanks to side-mounted slot

Large and heavy ; Music quality is poor ; Too little internal and bundled miniSD memory

There are four tone options that let you emphasise the bass content of music and use simulated surround sound. They do make some difference to sound quality, both through the stereo speakers and Sharp's headset. The problem is that sound output in...

Sharp 903

The Sharp 903 is easily the camera phone of 2005 (and continues to be the best until now). With a 3.2 megapixel camera with optical zoom and other features, it is more than qualified to replace the digital camera at home for most outdoor functions. It...

Sharp 903

Still, the Sharp 903 / Vodafone V903SH is about the best specified clamshell format 3G phone on the market anywhere. Slated to be available in August 2005 in Japan (in red, black and white colours), neither Vodafone nor Sharp have confirmed if and when...

Sharp 903

I have had this phone for 5 years and no trouble, not even once. I have had 4 nokia phones (N95, N82, N79 and 6710s Navigator and all of them were trouble. I wish the new sharp phones were avilable in Australia from Japan.

Great Camera, Phone way ahead of it's time

Not many accessories available
