Samsung Rogue SCH-U960 (Verizon)

Verizon is pulling a fast one with its data plans, but the excellent Samsung Rogue is almost compelling enough to compensate.

Great voice quality. High-resolution touch screen. Excellent camera and video recorder.

A bit large and heavy. Required Verizon data plans are a trap for the consumer.

CNET Editors' Choice

Samsung Rogue SCH-U960 (Verizon Wireless) review:

Editors' note: After further review of the device, we have decided to give this an Editors' Choice award because of its better-than-average feature set when compared with other handsets in the same category.

The Samsung Rogue has a gorgeous display, a 3.5mm headset jack, a great keyboard, and an impressive array of features that includes a 3-megapixel camera, EV-DO Rev. A, GPS, and a HTML browser with Flash Lite. It has good call quality as well.

The Samsung Rogue is a tad bulky, and the streaming video quality is poor.

The Samsung Rogue is a great multimedia touch-screen messaging phone for Verizon Wireless customers.

Samsung Rogue SCH-U960 – A Superb Multimedia Smart Phone

We are not sure why Samsung put in the QWERTY slide out keyboard in the back of the mobile phone. The big screen has a good virtual keyboard plus the phone would have had a bit slimmer. The screen of the Samsung Rogue SCH-U960 is AMOLED which means...

3.5 mm head phone jack, great AMOLED display, 3 MP camera with flash and self portrait mirror, great call quality

A bit heavy and the slider key board makes the phone thick

The Samsung Rogue SCH-U960 is a great multi media phone; it lived up to all our expectations. Get this one if you are looking for a good multi media smart phone.

THE best messaging phone in verizon's current lineup

I have had the samsung rogue since Christmas, so about 11 days and it is fantastic. The keyboard was kind of hard to type on at first because of the curser keys and the number row being at the top putting the space bar in the middle of the bottom...
