Samsung Intensity II SCH-U460 (Verizon Wireless)

The Samsung Intensity II is the best texting phone available on Verizon Wireless without an onerous extra data fee.

Improved screen resolution. Comfortable keyboard. Solid GPS navigation and social media apps. Good battery life.

No 3G. Poor camera. Quiet speakerphone.

Apps, Multimedia, and Conclusions The Intensity II doesn't require a data plan. That means texting fiends looking for a decent messaging phone can buy the Intensity II without paying for Web or e-mail data they'll never use—which isn't the case with...

Samsung Intensity II review

Editors' note: For a teen's perspective on the Samsung Intensity II, check out CNET's From the Field blog .

The Samsung Intensity II has a full QWERTY keyboard, solid messaging and e-mail tools, and handy search and navigation extras. The attractive, compact design and eco-conscious construction is a bonus.

The navigation keys are a little cramped, the 2.5 millimeter headset jack is inconvenient, you can't download music directly to the phone, and the call quality could be better.

The Samsung Intensity II is a good midrange phone for teens, thanks to its various social networking and communications tools. While there are some drawbacks, the moderate price is a draw.

Samsung Intensity II Review

When Samsung introduced the original Intensity U450 last year, we weren't too impressed by its features, or lack thereof, but it did help fill a gap in Verizon's line-up for an inexpensive messaging phone with full sliding QWERTY keyboard. Since then,...

Messaging phone for teens with an eco-friendly angle

The Samsung Intensity II is very similar to its predecessor, critics say. The phone has its faults, but CNET's Jessica Dolcourt says it's a "good midrange phone" and notes that its affordability compensates for its shortcomings. The Samsung...

Built with recycled components, does not require Verizon's monthly data plan, affordable

No 3.5 mm jack, slow downloads, poor call quality

Samsung Intensity II Review

Last year Samsung introduced the Intensity (SCH-U450). It was a very basic handset. This year the Samsung Intensity II (SCH-U460) has been released. This model is accompanied by a nicer look and a blend of useful features.

Samsung Intensity II- An Eco-QWERTY Phone for Text Addicts

The Samsung Intensity II is an eco-QWERTY phone that is crafted especially for text addicts. The pocket-friendly and text-friendly device owes a lot to the original Intensity, but, on many fronts, it stands apart from other releases. Let’s see how in...

"I love this phone. I wanted simple but fun & I got it!"

I love this phone I've had it for 2 years and I had the earlier version of the phone for over 2 years. This is a great phone for a person who loves to text and doesn't care about being on the internet. It is internet capable but the screen is too small...

Slide out full keyboard. It takes great pictures for a small phone. I've had my phone for 2 years and I have never had any issues.

Not a great phone if you want to use internet.
