For cell phone users in parts of Asia, camera phones with resolutions of up to 10 megapixels are yesterday's news. But for folks on this side of the globe, a 3.2-megapixel camera phone is a big deal. The 3.2-megapixel Samsung SCH-a990 is now available...

High-resolution camera Offers in-phone photo editing

Doesn't come with a memory card Expensive compared with other phones

The SCH-a990 won't replace your digital camera. But if it fits in your budget, you're likely to enjoy its features

Samsung SCH-A990

Samsung's SCH-A990 provides more pixels than any other phone in the U.S.

Highest-resolution camera phone in the U.S. Screen flips back to work like a digital camera.

Can't transfer files via Bluetooth or USB. Long shutter lag. Buggy reception indicator.

Samsung SCH-A990

The Samsung A990 has something most other camera phones lack, a 3.2-megapixel camera stocked with a plethora of digital camera features. While you might think that including a 3.2-megapixel camera might bulk up this cell phone, it's hardly the case....

Samsung SCH-A990 Review

The Samsung A990 appeals to customers that are looking for an all-in-one device that does everything well. The A990 incorporates a phone, camera, music player, and GPS navigation in one device. The A990 accomplishes all of these functions well. Most...

High Quality QVGA 240x320 262K Color TFT Internal Display ; 3.2 Mega-Pixel CCD Camera with Automatic Flash and full camera controls ; Excellent Voice and Call Quality ; VZ Navigator ; TV-Out ; Speakerphone can be used while phone is closed

External Display only stays on for 5 seconds. Wallpaper is too dark ; The Menu system is out-dated ; Not all Bluetooth Profiles are supported ; Speakerphone sounds distorted if volume is set too high

We think that the Samsung A990 is the best camera phone currently being offered by Verizon. It is well constructed and seems like it will hold-up if not abused. The black matte plastic with silver accents gives the phone a professional look. It fits...

Awesome camera with auto-focus, the camera apps give you plenty of options for photo and video taking. EVDO and V Cast content add huge value to the entertainment factor. Stereo output and TV cables are nice touches ;

The music player lacks support for MP3 and other major audio formats

The best camera on a CDMA phone in the US, period. The camera takes excellent photos that can rival some of the best Nokia and Sony Ericsson high-end camera phones. The auto-focus, microSD expansion slot and variety of camera settings make for an...

Samsung left little doubt as to the focus of the A990. While other devices pose as camera phones, the A990 blows them all away. With a high-powered 3.2-megapixel lens supported by a plethora of robust filters and functions, consumers may just forget...
