Samsung Vitality SCH-r720 (Cricket Wireless) review

Last January, Cricket Wireless' bold leap with Muve Music brought Cricket customers music downloads, ringtones, ringback tones, and other music tools, along with the prepaid carrier's all-inclusive talk, text, and Internet plan. The experimental plan...

The Samsung Vitality is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread device with a good size touch screen and Cricket's signature Muve Music music-access plan.

Low audio and speakerphone volume make it harder to talk. The Muve Music microSD card leaves little space for photos and video. Battery life is also rather poor.

The Samsung Vitality is a competitive midrange Android smartphone that complements Muve Music's potential.

Samsung Admire SCH-r720 review

The Samsung Admire marks another step in Android's continued march onto phones from prepaid carriers. Made for MetroPCS, the Admire isn't long on features, but it offers more than enough to keep you occupied for both a little play and some work. The...

The Samsung Admire has a simple, straightforward design with enough features to keep you busy and entertained. We appreciate the support for the Gingerbread OS and the access to MetroPCS' new Rhapsody Unlimited Music service.

The Samsung Admire had variable call quality with low volume and occasional audio cutouts. We had problems with the speakerphone in particular.

The Samsung Admire offers the accessible design and functional feature set that you'd expect from a starter Android phone, but call quality wasn't up to our standards.

Samsung Vitality Review

The Samsung Vitality is a great phone option for commitment-phobes with a yen for technical features such as music on-the-go, web and email access and excellent app availability. Unfortunately, the nature of the pay-as-you-go service that comes with...

This pay-as-you-go smartphone has oodles of high-tech features and exceptional access to apps.

Music, internet, email and games makes this phone more expensive than basic prepaid models.

The Samsung Vitality is the most sophisticated phone available for zero-commitment service plans.

Battery life when using as an android makes it unusable

ordered a new battery same thing. Searched on line for upgrading battery on this particular phone..pulled up match but when it took me to cricket site there was no battery upgrade. Just new phones. i only use 1 mg of internet time a month but pay as if...

It has held up well for the price however it is so worthless as if you use it as android battery lasts 4 hours tops. Have went thru two. Wanted to upgrade to longer life, cheaper than a new one but found Cricket to be no help. Can't contact via email.

phone has nice screen and has held up well.

Good phone but...

This phone would be perfect if it had a slide-out keyboard!

Straightforward phone with just what I need and not too much crap I don't need.

The main issue with this phone is a design flaw for the charging port. It doesn't have a little flap over it, so moisture and dust get in there easily. I've had to replace this otherwise perfectly good phone twice because it wouldn't take a charge.

Great phone.

I like the phone. It is laggy at times, and usually doesnt load youtube videos more than halfway, but this is probably based on the Metro network in my area. Doesnt load any faster with wifi on which is a huge downfall, and wifi on takes a toll on...

Battery life

Can be laggy at times.

"Good smartphone that won't break the bank! Great value!"

This is my first smartphone, overall I like it. Although there is the downside of low internal memory, for $49 I really can't complain. This is an excellent deal. If you're looking for an inexpensive yet decent smart phone from Metro PCS, I'd recommend...

-Decent Processor

-Although it's a good camera, it has no flash
