Samsung Propel Pro SGH-i627 (AT&T)

The snazzy Samsung Propel Pro has a bevy of high-end features, but some of the typical Windows Mobile–related caveats apply.

Sharp looks. Good call quality. Solid camera. Excellent battery life.

Poor Web browser. Dim screen. Proprietary headphone and USB jack.

Samsung Propel Pro (AT&T) review: Samsung Propel Pro (AT&T)

Samsung Propel Pro (AT&T)

The Samsung Propel Pro offers a full QWERTY keyboard with a number of e-mail solutions. The Windows Mobile smartphone also has 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Call quality was good, and we were impressed with the picture quality of the camera.

The smartphone is bulky compared with other messaging phones, and the keyboard is slightly cramped. Samsung uses a proprietary jack for headphones and AC adapters.

The Samsung Propel Pro is a capable Windows Mobile device, but its bulky design makes it less appealing than AT&T's other messaging smartphones.

Samsung Propel Pro i627 Review

So here we go again with yet another device adding the “PRO” word to the end of the name of an existing model. Samsung's presence has been surprisingly steady for AT&T with a diverse mix of devices geared towards different individual needs. Already a...

Samsung Propel Pro Review

The Samsung Propel Pro from AT&T is a Windows Mobile 6.1 slider phone with a full QWERTY keyboard and a stylish exterior. It's a quad band world phone with Wi-Fi and some extras

Very stylish and sexy design ; Very good sound quality on voice calls and when listening to music on the external speaker ; Excellent battery life

The screen can be very hard to see outdoors, and often reflects your face because the phone is so reflective ; A little wide, and not very rounded on the corners, so it can be difficult to hold in your hand and somewhat painful to use one-handed

If you're more concerned about style than about absolute utility, you should give this device a closer look. It has all the functionality of a Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard phone in a pretty fancy package. If on the other hand you're a workaholic who...

Video Tour: Samsung Propel Pro

The Propel Pro is a Windows Mobile slider from Samsung. WinMo 6.1 is the same, but the hardware is a bit different for Samsung. Find out of that's a good thing.
