Samsung Galaxy S7 Active review

The best Android phone for your clumsy... 'friend'

Water and dust-resistant design ; All of the S7 specs are here ; Big, long-lasting battery

Only works with AT&T ; AT&T bloatware and restrictions ; Considerably expensive

There's no beating the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active if your phone routinely takes a beating. Its shatterproof screen and water- and dust-resistant design stand up to the elements, but get ready to pay and sign with AT&T.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active review

I praised Samsung's Galaxy S7 Active in my initial review -- for its beautiful 2,560x1,440-pixel resolution display, speedy processor, excellent 12-megapixel rear camera and the largest battery Samsung has ever put in a smartphone. But the failure of...

The Galaxy S7 Active has extra long battery life and is resistant to dust, water and drops. It has has the same speedy performance, expandable storage and excellent camera quality as the original S7.

The bulky, plastic design feels cheap compared with the glass-and-metal S7 and the phone is expensive.

AT&T customers looking for a durable and high-end smartphone can't go wrong with the Galaxy S7 Active.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active (AT&T)

With the Galaxy S7 Active, Samsung adds a shatter-resistant build and a bigger battery to the already spectacular Galaxy S7, making it the best rugged phone AT&T subscribers can get.

Rugged build. Fast performance. Long battery life. Excellent camera. Sharp, bright display. Customizable Active button.

Middling call quality.

Comparisons and Conclusions At $750, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active costs $55 more than the standard Galaxy S7. If you're the type of person who regularly needs to replace broken phones, that's a small price to pay compared with extended warranties or...

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active ( poseidon green camo)

While the Active doesn't have the S7's sleek metal and glass design, it does include a shatter-resistant screen, physical buttons and a military grade body. Perhaps the most appealing feature was its waterproofing. Samsung claimed the Active could...

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active review: A great phone, but not as tough as advertised

I praised Samsung's Galaxy S7 Active in my initial review, for its beautiful 2,560x1,440-pixel resolution display, a speedy processor, a microSD card slot for additional storage and an excellent 12-megapixel rear camera. It's also equipped with the...

Samsung Galaxy S7 active Review

Samsung's ruggedized cousin to its flagship Galaxy S smartphone has more to prove this year than ever. With the Galaxy S7 returning to a water-resistant body and picking up a larger 3,000 mAh battery, is there still a market for a separate Galaxy S7...

Tough, rugged construction ; Top-shelf processor and memory ; Superb camera ; Highly versatile software

Not for the style-concscious ; Battery life leaves something to be desired ; Pricier than the regular GS7 ; AT&T exclusive

Samsung delivers in a big way, but will we be buying?

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active: A Hard Hitting Flagship Phone [Review]

Another year, another Active smartphone from Samsung and exclusively on ATT's network. If you aren't a ATT customer or plan to switch then there is zero chance of seeing this device anywhere and might depress you to keep on reading, otherwise lets...

As I say every year the S Active smartphones from Samsung are some of my favorites and the S7 Active I actually like more than the S7. The build quality is great with its rugged case design, it takes awesome pictures and operates smooth. It has all of...

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Review: Durable Greatness

The Galaxy S7 Active is incredibly resilient, with a virtually unbreakable design ( especially with Samsung fixing some early manufacturing woes ) and an 11-hour battery that won't drain out on your next adventure. It'd be easy to recommend the Active...

Attractive rugged design ; Survives repeated drops ; Useful activity apps ; Stellar battery life ; Fantastic camera

Lots of bloatware ; Limited to AT&T

The Galaxy S7 Active crams the best features of Samsung's excellent flagship into an very durable design.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Active review: The rugged flagship phone for clumsy fingers

Some phones are built like fragile little flowers. This one is built to withstand a rough-and-tumble lifestyle, though it's not entirely life-proof.

Long battery life will get you through a day's worth of work or play ; Features a shatterproof screen and IP68 water-resistance ; All the same great components as the near-perfect Galaxy S7

So much AT&T bloatware

The Galaxy S7 Active is for those who are looking for a strong smartphone with stellar performance.
