Samsung Galaxy Light Review

With the Galaxy Light, Samsung is proving that it can scale its smartphone design and production costs. After hitting home runs with the Galaxy S III, Galaxy S4, and Galaxy Note 3, Samsung is bringing some of its most noticeable aesthetics and features...

Samsung Galaxy Light review

If you're seeking an affordable Android phone on T-Mobile, the Samsung Galaxy Light is a serious choice. There's nothing flashy or even particularly interesting about a this 4-inch, entry-level smartphone that just looks like a slightly mutated Samsung...

The Samsung Galaxy Light gives you 4G LTE, a decent processor, and a pocket-friendly form for under $250. Call quality is strong, too.

Camera images seemed dull and soft on the Light's 5-megapixel shooter, and the 4-inch screen makes the virtual keyboard feel cramped.

Buy the Samsung Galaxy Light if you're looking for Android on a budget -- just be aware that you're trading price for performance.

Samsung Galaxy Light (T-Mobile)

Thanks to its LTE support and solid call quality, the Samsung Galaxy Light stands as a good value for entry-level Android smartphones on T-Mobile.

Solid feature set for the price. 4G LTE enabled. Great call quality.

Mediocre battery life. Middling camera.

Multimedia and Conclusions There's 8GB of total internal storage, but only 4.6GB is available out of the box—our 64GB SanDisk microSD card worked fine for expanding memory. Samsung's nailed down media support for most of its Galaxy devices, and it's no...

Samsung Galaxy Mega (AT&T)

The Samsung Galaxy Mega is both absurd and awesome. It has the largest screen of any smartphone in the U.S., and is a top Android-based pick on AT&T if you don't need the absolute latest cutting-edge components.

Mega-size screen. Not-so-mega-size price. Slim design. Tons of software features. Stellar battery life.

Display isn't full HD. Not the fastest gaming performance. Stereo speakers would have been better, given its size.

Hardware, OS, and Apps The Galaxy Mega runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, and packs a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 1.5GB RAM. That's down a bit from the Galaxy Note II's quad-core Samsung Exynos processor and 2GB...

fabulous

This is my first smartphone, and I have had it for 2 weeks. It is great! It has all the features that I want in a phone: phone, text, email, GPS, internet.I haven't used the GPS because there are so many other features that I am still learning about....

Wrong size SIM Card

I can't believe I got the wrong size SIM. The SIM number matched the number printed on the outside of the box. Also there was no activation code number.

Got on sale for $99 ; Nice phone for the price

SIM Card that came in the box didn't fit ; Got regular SIM but phone needed MicroSIM ; Need to spend $10 to get a T-Mobile MicroSIM card

Awesome deal, especially with $40 T-Mobile plan

I turned off the Wi-Fi calling like many people have recommended, and I have not had any problem with signal strength. You really do not need Wi-Fi calling if you have unlimited minutes.

This is an amazing phone for the price. It does everything you expect from a smart phone. The battery life is good; it usually has about 70% of the battery left at the end of the day after a moderate amount of use. The wireless hot spot (tethering)...

You have to avoid heavy internet use with the 500 GB data plan. You can always upgrade for more money
