Samsung Galaxy Europa

If you're in the market for a budget Android phone then chances are you'll be having a tough time making up your mind as there are so many of the blighters around. The Samsung Galaxy Europa (GT-i5500) offers Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth, along with 140MB of...

Capacitive touchscreen, compact design, lightweight, Android 2.1

Flimsy build quality, poor camera, low screen resolution, no multi-touch support

There's no getting away from the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Europa is a fairly average mobile phone. The tiny screen with its low resolution and the poor camera don't do much to help its cause. However, the inclusion of a capacitive touchscreen is...

Samsung Galaxy Europa Review by 3G.co.uk

We love the style and usability of this device, but it's no ordinary

Good styling, long battery life fora smartphone, value for money

The camera is poor and lacksflash; the small screen is hard on the eyes

We love the style and usability of this device, but it's no ordinaryAndroid handset. If you want a really whizzy smartphone, you'll be paying morethan Samsung is asking for the Europa. But if you want to pay less, or areafter a smaller handset than the...

Good styling, long battery life for a smartphone, value for money

The camera is poor and lacks flash; the small screen is hard on the eyes

The Samsung Galaxy Europa is an excellent handset for its price. If you're looking for a budget Android device, the HTC Wildfire is still superior, but the Europa comes a very respectable second. It's got all the other features you would expect of it,...

Samsung Galaxy Europa GT-15500 review

There are now more budget -powered devices on the market than you can literally shake a stick at – and now there's one more: the Samsung Galaxy Europa. But how does this Android 2.1-powered, TouchWiz UI enhanced budget weigh up against the best of the...

Decent touchscreen, responsive digital keyboard, snappy processor, TouchWiz, Android 2.1

Poor camera, limited storage, tiny screen, Samsung Apps, not very pretty

It’s difficult to like the Samsung Galaxy Europa, it has no stand-out features, is poorly designed and feels cheap in the hand. If you’re in the market for an affordable Android device, we suggest that you shop around a little more before settling on...

Hey, it's not that bad....

I've had this phone for a little over a year and it's not too bad - the screen is pretty small at 2.8" and low-res at 320x240 pixel, but the interface takes account of this and looks sharp and attractive. The Europa ships with Android 2.1 but can...

Disappointing

I bought this to replace my battered Nokia N78, deciding to switch to Android as Symbian seems to be dying now. I miss Symbian and admit my troubles could be as much Android as the Europa.

Budget Features

1. The battery life even after task manager 'all tasks ended' is less than a day- that's a bad joke. My Blackberry 8520 stays alive nearly 10 days or 4 days with full use.
