The Samsung Galaxy Axiom for U.S. Cellular packs lots of smartphone power into a compact size at a nice price.

Affordable price. Solid performance. Comfortable size and shape. 4G LTE support.

Mediocre video camera. Average display.

The LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy Axiom has terrific battery life and a generous feature set for a lower-tier phone.

The carrier's sluggish and stuttering roaming 3G network drags the Axiom down, it's on the heavy side, and it has poor call quality.

If you're looking for a midtier Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Axiom's cheap price is hard to beat.
