Samsung Focus S review

Thin, light, with a nice display. Does this Windows Phone have all the right stuff?

Unique OS and UI ; Great battery life ; Best screen of any WP7 phone ; Great system-wide integration ; thin

Poor specs on paper ; Slow "4G ; Flimsy Battery Cover ; Only 720p Recording ; Limited app market

The Samsung Focus S is a Windows Phone 7 phone on AT&T intended to compete against relatively high-end devices. Its price tag – $199 with two-year agreement, and $549 without – suggests that it is to be pitted against phones like the HTC Titan, 16GB...

Samsung Focus S (AT&T)

We're still waiting for the first truly high-end Windows Phone device, but the Focus S comes closer than any other before it.

Incredibly thin design. Vibrant screen. Smooth performance. Good camera.

No dual-core processor or true 4G data. Short battery life. Not as many third-party apps as you get with Android or iOS.

Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions There's a standard-size 3.5mm headphone jack on top of the phone and a roomy 16GB of internal storage. There's no microSD card slot, but Microsoft's sync software, available for both PCs and Macs, is easy to use and...

Samsung Focus (AT&T)

The Samsung Focus is the best of the Windows Phone 7 crop so far.

Slim and light. Gorgeous Super AMOLED screen.

Very few apps or games for this brand-new platform. Clearly 1.0 software.

Samsung Focus S Review

The Samsung Focus S is an impressive and enjoyable smartphone to use. While it is not perfect by any means, and it suffers from Windows Phone's continuing growing pains, it has some really great qualities that make it worth a look for anybody in the...

Review: Samsung Focus – Windows Phone 7

The buzz is growing. After month of hype and speculation the highly anticipated Windows Phone 7 handsets are finally close to landing on store shelves. While a variety of different phones featuring Microsoft's new mobile operating system will launch in...

Amazing screen ; Impressive camera ; Snappy Windows 7 mobile operating system

Plastic body makes it feel cheap ; Placement of side buttons ; No multitasking ; Limited number of apps

Some users may have an issue with the fact that the phone is made of plastic and there is no cut and paste option for text input, but despite these drawbacks Samsung has designed a very clever phone. The Samsung Focus is certainly worth the wait.
