Samsung Epic 4G Touch review

4G comes to a phone that could beat the Samsung Galaxy S2

Brilliantly clear screen ; Long lasting ; Fast processor ; Thin and light ; Ample storage

Not as many bundled apps ; No extra app stores ; No camera button ; Slow 4G ; Expensive with no contract

The Samsung Epic 4G Touch is an almost equivalent version of the Samsung Galaxy S2 that we rated so highly.

Samsung Epic 4G Touch review: Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Samsung Epic 4G Touch

The ; boasts a large and bright 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display. With a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, the Android smartphone is fast and 4G-capable. Camera quality is also excellent.

Call quality could be better. The phone is large and has a plastic build.

The Samsung Epic 4G Touch offers speedy performance, a beautiful screen, and a great multimedia experience to make it one of Sprint's top Android phones, but its large size won't be for everyone.

Samsung Epic Touch 4G for Sprint: Slim and Speedy

The arrival of Samsung's Galaxy S II phones has been a long time coming. We first saw the next generation of Samsung's popular line of Android phones back in February at Mobile World Congress. After many successful months in Europe, the Galaxy S II...

Bright, clear Super AMOLED Plus display ; Superb performance ; Excellent camera

Lots of bloatware/preloaded apps ; Plasticky build

The slim and speedy Samsung Epic Touch 4G is excellent for gaming, Web browsing and watching video, but the plasticky design feels a bit on the cheap side.

Make no mistake, this is pretty much the same Galaxy S II we know and love. The display may be slightly bigger, and the phone itself a little larger, but the speedy processor and excellent camera remain. WiMAX is less appealing than the 4G name might...

Samsung Epic 4G Touch Review: Has It All

The Epic Touch, Sprint's version of the Galaxy S II, is costs $200 with a new two-year service contract

Gorgeous display ; Excellent performance ; Good battery life, but could be better ; Excellent camera

Voice quality is slightly less than I would expect ; Annoying power button location

There were a couple of days where it was rather iffy whether or not it would last until I got back to my hotel room, though that shouldn't be much of a surprise. These weren't your regular get to work by nine and leave by six kind of days either; when...
