First Looks: Samsung SGH-D820

With so many slim slider phones in the market, Samsung attempts to set the SGH-820 apart with a sturdy look and funky features such as TV-out.

Samsung D820 Phone

The Samsung D820 is a beautiful black mobile phone which comes with a highly useable slide opening. The phone has a very sleek & ultra slim casing which will catch everyone's eye. The D820 weighs a total of 90 grams & the overall size is 99 x 51 x 15...

Samsung D820

Samsung has left us delightfully impressed with their recent forays into the world of mobile phones.

Excellent display, Stylish slider, Thin Design, Sturdy build, Excellent list of features, microSD slot

Only a 1.3 megapixel camera, TV-Out function needs perfecting, Can't use other phone functions while listening to MP3s

The D820 is another fine effort from Samsung and continues the standard set by their previous models. This one is even more stylish and sexy than its predecessor and features a better display.

Samsung SGH-T809

Good looks and slick multimedia features--including a capable music player and an expansion card slot--make the T809 a decent gadget. Unfortunately it isn't particularly comfortable for a standard cell phone, and it suffers from erratic call quality.

Capable music player Expansion card slot

Uncomfortable to use as a phone Call quality is erratic

The T809 has a few great specs, including good camera controls, a memory card slot, and a slim design. But I wish that it had better calling qualities so I could justify its $250 price tag (as of April 7, 2006, with a two-year T-Mobile contract)

The slider-style cousin of the MM-A900 is equally attractive and adequately equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera.

Samsung SGH-T809

A hot-looking phone for slider aficionados (maybe even RAZR-hot), but we're uncertain whether it will stand up to punishment.

Good-looking. Great screen. Good camera. Good MP3 player.

No voice dialing. Small action button. Memory-card door on prototype falls off. ; function Video(mypage, myname, w, h, scroll) { var winl = (screen.width - w) / 2; var wint = (screen.height - h) / 2; winprops =...

Samsung SGH-T809

We were immediately smitten with the Samsung SGH-T809. With its slider design, jet black casing and crisp color screen, this Samsung is one good lookin' cell phone. But don't let its slim design fool you; it is, after all, fully loaded (video...

Samsung T809 Review

The Samsung SGH-T809 is a quad-band GSM phone in slim slider design, fashionable but not lacking features device. It packs a nice QVGA display, rotating megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and music player with slot for memory expansion

Very extensive and well developed organizer ; Supreme design and functionalities combined ; Flipping camera with good quality and a wide range of settings for it

A few minor design flows, connected with the slider functionality

It is hard to be objective about something that you like that much, which happens to be the case for me with this phone. Although there are a few minor things that I would like to see done differently design-wise (the opening/closing of the upper...

Samsung SGH-T809

Slider phones are all the rage right now and Samsung's T-Mobile SGH-T809/SGH-D820 is one of the sexiest slider's I've seen.  Combining stunning good looks, a slim, sleek form factor and a gorgeous screen with the features you'd expect from a mid-range...
