The Samsung Convoy 2 is a semi-rugged flip phone that offers great call quality and support for Verizon's push-to-talk system.

Great voice quality. Very loud speakerphone. Sharp, useful pair of displays. Good camera.

The Samsung Convoy 2 has a sturdy design, push-to-talk capability, a flashlight, and a built-in music player.

The phone doesn't seem as durable as it could be, and both the call quality and camera quality need work. It's disappointing that the Convoy 2 still has a 2.5mm headset jack.

Certified to withstand the elements, the Samsung Convoy 2 is also a ruggedly attractive handset with a fair number of creature comforts; however, the headset jack is a disappointment and there are more rough-and-tumble phones out there.

"Don't get caught in the rain. a few drops of water/junk"

 

After 2 days of being cuaght in the rain the display screen went blank white but the phone still worked. I called the warranty service department and was told that if the tab on the battery was still white it was not water damage and I should send in...

Nice features for flip phone

Very poor customer service and warranty when there is a problem. Their representative told me to send in phone for warranty repair/replacemnt. I was concerned because I got caught in the rain with the phone in my shirt pocket.

"The phone is great except for one BIG hang up."

 

Sorry I bought it.

Great flashlight.

The option to disable the outside buttons does not work. A lot of people have been complaining about it. So when you put it in your pocket it sends text messages to the last person you sent a text message to, or the flashlight goes on etc.

"Great flip phone"

 

Overall I'm very satisfied with this phone. It is much better than my previous Samsung Intensity. I did not buy this phone because of it's ruggedness, but it's a nice plus since I tend to be a bit rough with my phones. I've already dropped the phone...

he call quality is excellent and the phone has a great feel for typing. The phone is well built and feel very sturdy. The battery is commendable as well with 4-5 days of uptime with moderate calling and texting usage.

As mentioned by other users, this phone will have a tendency to "butt text" when you have it in your pocket because of the front facing keys. It's happened to me several times hence the docking of one star in the review.

"This phone is garbage."

 

Do not get this phone. I've never had issues with a phone the way I have them with this. And when I call Verizon I get a "it sucks to be you" attitude (they are more professional in their speech, but thats the way I feel). Does not send picture...

There are none.
