Having popularised slim, slide phones with their early D-Series units, Samsung don't appear to be giving up on this design any time soon. Their latest...

Smooth design, Extremely fast Next G data transfer, Lots of features

Menu is sluggish, Battery life poor

If you can handle having a poor battery life and a slightly slow menu, the Samsung A801 offers a great Next G compatible phone with a stylish, slim design.

Available on Telstra's Next G network, Samsung's slide-open A801 has a slim 13.8mm profile and sports a 3-megapixel camera.

Next G reception ; Excellent camera

Average to poor battery life ; Flimsy sockets

Samsung rates the A801's battery life as up to 170 minutes in GSM mode or 140 minutes for 3G-based calls, with a split 230/180 hours standby time. We weren't impressed with the D900's battery life when we reviewed it, but neither were we appalled....

Are these below people on their mobile all day every day? The battery life isnt that bad! I've had this phone for 6 months and I charge the phone every 4-5 days. Whats the big deal? If you are using your mobile phone for 4+ hours a day there is...

light in weight, slim, easy to use, has all the features expected of a modern day mobile

When phone is ringing, starts off quiet then BURTS into sound (bit annoying)
