Pantech Reveal

Light, compact phone ; Intuitive to use

No multimedia cables ; Poor camera and video quality

The Pantech Reveal is a light and spry phone, but its multimedia capabilities are substandard.

Pantech Reveal (AT&T)

The Pantech Reveal shows how far the company has come in building quality handsets, but its software design was a letdown.

Quality construction. Clear voice quality. Excellent reception.

Cramped keyboard. Proprietary headphone jack. Poor app and camera performance.

Camera and Conclusions The 1.3-megapixel camera lacks an LED flash and auto-focus, and its shutter is sluggish, with a 1.5-second delay. Test photos had decent light balance but looked flat and slightly grainy. Oddly, the Reveal's LCD had a very poor...

Pantech Reveal review:

Pantech is perhaps most well known for the dual-slider handset design it pioneered with the Helio Ocean , which slides vertically to reveal a number keypad, and sideways to reveal a QWERTY keyboard. Pantech has subsequently followed the Ocean with the...

The Pantech Reveal has a roomy number keypad, a full QWERTY keyboard, a full HTML Web browser based on Opera, plus 3G, GPS, and multimedia features.

The Pantech Reveal's QWERTY keyboard feels a bit cramped, and though we like the HTML browser, the small screen size meant we had to scroll though Web pages a lot more.

Despite a few design issues, the Pantech Reveal is a good midrange messaging phone with the added bonus of a full HTML Web browser.

Review: Pantech Reveal mobile phone

The Reveal measures 3 inches by 2.5 inches by 0.5 inch thick, but it weighs just 4 ounces. The 2.2-inch display has 320-by-240-pixel resolution (260,000 colors) and occupies the upper half of the phone. The lower half contains a touchpad, two softkeys,...

Video Tour: Pantech Reveal

Phone Scoop goes hands-on with the new dual-keyboard messaging phone from Pantech. This device gets solid ratings for fit and finish, but the keyboard didn't set us on fire.

Pantech Reveal 1

Love the keyboards, QWERTY and numbers at the same time. Battery on the low side. Calender is terrible; you can't sync it with your computer and you can't set up reoccurring events. You can't change the circle shortcuts. If you have the camera on the...

Good and Bad

All right, to start off, not a good phone to keep for a while. At first it was fine. In fact I actually liked it. The keypad is great and so is the QWERTY keyboard. The calls are great and you can hear the other person nicely. But, my feelings for...
