Pantech Link II (AT&T) review

Most cell phone carriers in the United States now sell three types of handsets. Fancy smartphones like the iPhone 4S appeal to people who want it all, basic handsets like the AT&T F160 are for anyone who just needs to communicate, and feature phones...

The Pantech Link II has a simple, user-friendly design with admirable call quality. The pop-up menu when making calls is fantastic.

The Pantech Link II has a flimsy plastic feel. Media features and the Web browser should be used only when necessary.

With its great call quality and accessible design, the Pantech Link II is a great option for AT&T customers who don't need a workhorse of a cell phone.

Pantech Link II (AT&T)

The Pantech II is a much better deal than the first version was; for texting fiends or anyone looking to avoid smartphone-like monthly fees, it's a solid choice.

Good value. Nice Web browser. Large QWERTY keyboard given the svelte form factor.

Tinny speakerphone. No voice dialing. Proprietary headphone jack.

Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions This isn't the best multimedia phone. There's still no proper headphone jack; you'll need either microUSB headphones (which all sound terrible) or a separate Bluetooth set. Annoyingly, the microSD card slot is now...

"Fantastic Alternative to Smart Phones"

Overall, I am very pleased with this phone. Since smart phones generate so much addition cost, I am perfectly content passing up the iphone 5 and Galaxy III because of how well the Pantech Link II functions. If you are looking for a brick (not a flip...

Great design

Too many shortcut buttons for internet access (makes data block almost necessary)

Good, durable, and nice-looking phone.

I love this phone. I got it because I was afraid I would break a slide out texting phone, and because I didn't want to deal with a touchscreen. Since I'm a teen, my phone goes through hell and back, and this phone is ridiculously durable. I'm not...

+durable +attractive (I've gotten compliments, and people constantly think it's a blackberry) +cheap +didn't need a data plan +good quality camera +good music player (not important if you have an mp3) +good call quality It's a good phone overall.

-The screen and body of the phone get scratched pretty easily, so buy a screen protector and a case. (no big deal, I bought a screen protector and case from Amazon for about 5 dollars) -No headphone jack. (again, not a big deal; it's not needed)
