Oppo R9 gold

While the super thin bezel that gives it an almost edge-to-edge display, Oppo hasn't included a palm-rejection feature, which became apparent every time a Web page scrolled away from me due to parts of my hand inadvertently touching the edge. Also...

The Oppo R9 is light and has a premium look and feel. The rear camera takes good photos and you can expand the phone's storage via its microSD card slot.

Gaming performance is poor, especially on graphically intensive games. The front camera lacks features such as HDR and its aspect ratio is too narrow.

The Oppo R9 manages to ape the iPhone 6S' look and feel, but it lacks the performance and capabilities to measure up as a must-get phone.

Oppo R9 review: An iPhone copycat and not in a good way

Previous Oppo phones, such as the R7, have avoided blatantly ripping off Apple's iPhone design, but the new R9, known as the F1 Plus in certain countries, leans into it. The R9 unabashedly clones the iPhone 6S, even down to some aspects of the user...

Oppo R9

The phone is 6.6-mm thin , and tips the scale at 145 grams. The phone is powered by a 2 GHz Octa core MediaTek Helio P10 64 processor and it comes with 4 GB of RAM. What this means is the processor has Octa cores in the CPU and 4 GB of RAM ensures the...

OPPO R9 Smartphone review – More than a little familiar

The Oppo R9 smartphone is the latest flagship device from the fourth biggest smartphone company in the world and while it looks pretty familiar as a daily driver it is immensely capable and well worth consideration for an outright purchase at $599....

Review: OPPO R9

Never have I ever had more people perplexed by what phone I've been using these past couple of weeks. OPPO R9 is one of the manufacturer's boldest moves ever, and it's bound to leave more than a few on the fence as to how they feel about it. It's a...

Just about everything is an upgrade over the R7 series, and in all the handset handles itself more fluidly than the still recent R7s.

Brilliant under-rated mobile phone

OPPO? Who on earth are they. The guy in JBHIFI was pushing us away from another leading brand and telling us we should go for this one. The phone was up for just over $600 at the time. We liked the look of it. - Nice clear screen - Large enough screen...
