Is there still a case for Symbian smartphones in the face of the Android onslaught?

Nice build material ; Good Home screen widgets ; Clear, vibrant screen ; Good macro camera shots ; Easy-to-use messaging

Poor battery life ; Occasionally laggy and ageing OS ; Below average touchscreen ; Wobbly build ; Lack of social network integration

With the Nokia C7 looking like it'll pack Symbian S^3 when released, and MeeGo on the horizon, the Nokia C6 looks like it could be something of a swan song for Symbian S60 on the Nokia's smartphones.

Nokia's C6-00 smartphone is positioned as an entry-level device that is ideal for email and social networking thanks to its physical QWERTY keyboard. Unfortunately, this is another Nokia smartphone that is let down by poor software and questionable...

Nokia's C6 smartphone may be cheap but clunky software and a dated-looking design means it doesn't represent very good value for money. There are plenty of better alternatives at a similar price point.
