Nokia 8600 Luna review

A style statement for those with deep pockets

Striking looks ; Excellent screen ; Build quality

No 3G ; No expandable memory ; High price

Once again, style has triumphed over substance but if you've got money burning a hole in your pocket and you're after a trophy phone look no further

Nokia 8600 Luna

This is a well-crafted phone, but it isn't cheap SIM-free. Can its features add value for money?

Nokia 8600 Luna review -

Along with the 8800 Sirocco, the Luna is one of the finest-built handsets around with a supreme slider action

Limited memory hampers an otherwise great-sounding music player, while camera quality is average

Nokia 8600 Luna

Nokia's premium range has had everyone from city boys to students drooling since the chrome-clad 8810 first hit the shelves five years ago, and its appeal shows no sign of being different with the latest luxury model - the 8600 Luna.

Striking looks, Excellent screen, Build quality

No 3G, No expandable memory, High price

Once again, style has triumphed over substance but if you've got money burning a hole in your pocket and you're after a trophy phone look no further

Nokia 8600 Luna Review

Another case of style over substance, but when the 8600 Luna has this much class, we'll forgive its feature flaws.

Along with the 8800 Sirocco, the Luna is one of the finest-built handsets around with a supreme slider action.

Limited memory hampers an otherwise great-sounding music player, while camera quality is average.

When it comes to playing music, the 8600 Luna is incredibly frustrating.

Nokia 8600 Luna review

We review the Nokia 8600 Luna, a mobile designed with style in mind that packs solid performance into its smoked glass and stainless steel casing

Stunning design ; 2 megapixel camera ; Fantastic multimedia features

No 3G ; Awkward keypad ; Lack of memory card slot

This beautifully designed will make you the envy of your fashionista friends

Nokia 8600 Luna

In October 2006 we wrote " œBasing on the current situation on the market, we are to expect the next renewal of the Nokia 8800 in the summer 2007. Apparently, the device's main features will be stereo-out, updated software (FP1 or 2 for S40 3rd...

The debut of the Nokia 8600 Luna for Live Premium category would seem to be a response to the consumers' expectations, but in the end it is not all that simple. The 8600's price tag is lighter than the Nokia 8800 SE by almost 250 Euro. Keep in mind,...

Nokia 8600 Luna review: Cast in glass

The Nokia 8600 Luna is keen to disarm and seduce. The unconventional materials used, the creative design, the rather practical set of accessories are hard enough to resist. Plus, the Luna is so largely unaffordable that it's tempting. This pretty much...

Exquisite display ; Excellent response ; Solid construction ; Exotic materials

High price ; No memory card ; Mediocre camera, poor video recorder ; Lack of 3G support ; Non-standard connector at this point

The family of luxurious Nokia handsets gets bigger. Prepare for steel, glass and an exorbitant price. Near flawless performance when it comes to the mundane must-have features, and embarrassingly mediocre functionality. But then again, an 8-series...
