Nokia 5140

Nokia faces off against Nextel with the new Nokia 5140, a Swiss Army knife of a phone that can do everything but light your campfire.

Small and rugged. Unique outdoorsy features. Stellar 9-hour battery life.

Push-to-talk and IM functions don't work yet. Buttons can be hard to press.

Nokia 5140

We check out Nokia's phone with everything in our Australian review.

Sturdy design makes it suitable for active people ; Includes FM radio, compass, thermometer, flashlight and fitness coach app ; Supports push-to-talk (PTT)

Lacklustre 4096 colour screen ; Case can be tricky to remove

All up, the Nokia 5140 should satisfy the needs of most active types and labourers who require a sturdy phone that can survive a bit of rough handling.

The 'Swiss-army' 5140 sports a compass, torch, thermometer and is shock/water-resistant. Squeeze in a fitness coach and Nokia has a great phone for those with active lifestyles.
