Motorola MOTO W233 Renew (T-Mobile)

The first U.S. cell phone made from recycled plastic, T-Mobile's green MOTO W233 Renew does voice well—but not much else.

Case is made of recycled materials. Inexpensive. Excellent voice quality.

Dim screen. No Bluetooth or voice dialing. Poor media capabilities. No camera.

Motorola Renew W233 (T-Mobile) review: Motorola Renew W233 (T-Mobile)

Motorola Renew W233 (T-Mobile)

The Motorola Renew W233 offers satisfying call quality in a simple, eco-friendly design.

The Motorola Renew W233 has a low-resolution display and it offers few features. Also, it lacks a side-mounted volume rocker.

The Motorola Renew W233 is more than just a green device; it's also a decent phone.

Review: The Motorola MOTO W233 Renew

What do water bottles and cell phones have in common?  The new Motorola Moto W233 Renew Mobile Phone!

The noise-cancelling works well on both handset and speakerphone. The speakers on the phone are crisp and clear and the the phone comes with an assortment of cheerful ringtones.  Also of note was the clear MP3 player.  When using the handset reception...

Contains plastic from recycled water bottles ; Simple, stylish design ; Easy to use ; Packaging made from 100% recycled material ; First certified CarbonFree phone

Very limited features ; Only 25% of phone’s body is made from recycled plastic bottles

The phone may be cutting edge since it’s made from water bottles but it feels dated. It lacks many features. No Bluetooth, no GPS, no video player, no camera, no Wi-Fi. It feels old. But not everyone needs a phone packed with features. If you want a...
