Motorola Rokr E8 mobile phone - Pocket-lint

The Rokr E8 wants to be your music player and this is something it does very well, but you may feel that too many compromises have been made to bring you

Dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack, improved interface, good quality speaker

Internal expansion microSD card, poor call quality – too much echo, music button too small, limited feature set, overall size

It is clear that the Rokr E8 wants to be your music player and this is something it does very well, baring, of course the lack of a real button to access this feature. The music sounds good, although if you like bass, you’ll have to opt for the maximum...

Motorola Rokr E8 review

The Motorola Rokr E8 is a mobile phone that excels at music playback, but usability issues plague it in other areas.

The Motorola Rokr E8 makes most sense for customers seeking a stylish handset that excels at music, and not much interested messaging or web applications.

Motorola ROKR E8

The ROKR has no buttons but rather a haptic touchpad. The ROKR only presents the user with the buttons needed for the job at hand. So when you listen to music you only see the music player buttons.

The haptic feedback system is impressive and the earphone input is a normal mini-jack.

It only comes with 2GB (expandable to 4GB) of internal storage and the web browser is not very good.

Motorola - ROKR E8

Motorola's ROKR E8 is the company's second attempt at the ROKR line. The line started with an absolute abomination of a music handset. Co-developed with Apple, great things were expected of the original ROKR but the ...

The ROKR E8 is a quirky handset and it does handle its music quite well. But you are either going to love or loathe the ModeShift system. Best to try before you buy and think beyond the 'wow' factor and into longer term use.

Motorola ROKR E8

Motorola has kitted out the ROKR E8 with a two-megapixel camera with 8x zoom, multi-shot feature and video capture. Measuring 115x53x10.6mm the quand-band music phone weighs 106g, and has 2GB internal memory (expansive up to 6GB). It has a talk time of...

Making up for the horrific ROKR E1 flashbacks was never going to be easy, but Motorola's had a decent stab at it here. It's just a pity the features are so pedestrian when you want them to be ROKing. Motorola ROKR E8 is tagged with Motorola, mobile...

Motorola ROKR E8 review

We review the Motorola ROKR E8, a mobile geared up for music that debuts Motorola's ModeShift control panel button-changing technology

ModeShift looks good and will impress your mates ; Haptic feedback works well ; Looks that make it standout ; 3.5mm headphone jack

ModeShift won't impress you after a few days ; FastScoll touchwheel not accurate enough ; No 3G, no WiFi, no Bluetooth with A2DP ; Surprisingly small screen on a long phone ; Very poor camera

More flash than substance, it is back to the drawing board Motorola
