Motorola MPx220 review

Moto's second effort at a Windows Mobile smartphone harbours the same selling points – Pocket Outlook and peerless PC-only synchronisation – as its predecessor but it adds a 1.3MP cam

We used to be embarrassingly excited about the MPx220; upon use, that enthusiasm evaporated. The hardware’s not as good as Orange’s C500 and the software’s not up to much either

Motorola MPx220 (AT&T) review

Intro We had high hopes for the MPx220, Motorola's follow-up to the popular MPx200 . We're always excited when a product shows up promising so many fantastic things: Microsoft's Windows Mobile 2003 OS, Bluetooth, and Windows Media Player 9.0, just to...

Windows Mobile 2003 OS; ergonomic controls; easy to use; solid call quality; Bluetooth; world phone; VGA camera.

WAP browser could be improved; difficult to sync with a corporate Exchange server.

Motorola's MPx220 is a worthy choice for a Windows Mobile 2003 smart phone, though some of its features are less than perfect.

Motorola MPx220

Packed with features, the Motorola MPx220 is the speediest Windows-based smartphone yet, but our model had some audio problems.

Powerful processor. Megapixel camera. Excellent battery life (more than 8 hours). Mini-SD slot.

Quiet speakerphone. Occasional clipping at top volume. Can't activate voice dialing from headset.

Motorola has updated its popular Windows Mobile-based smartphone, which has enough features for both work and play.
