Moto Z Force review

A seriously ambitious and shatterproof Android phone

MotoMods enhance the experience ; Bold design ; Excellent camera

Fingerprint magnet ; Can't charge while listening to music ; Verizon and US exclusive

The Moto Z Force is a competent smartphone on its own, made even better by a shatterproof screen and MotoMods. In addition, Moto gets props for a stellar camera and sticking to near-stock Android.

Moto Z Force review: Not as good as the thinner, cheaper Moto Z

Motorola Moto Z Force's beefier design and higher price take the fun out of its modular ways.

The long-lasting Motorola Moto Z Force Droid has a durable display and its modular accessories are useful and easy to attach.

You can only buy the Force in the US. On Verizon. It feels hefty with the Moto Mods snapped on, and its fingerprint reader confusingly looks like a home button.

The Moto Z Force Droid sounds better on paper, but the thinner, cheaper Moto Z is the one we actually want to use.

Motorola Moto Z Force Droid

The Motorola Moto Z Force Droid combines several hot trends into a worry-free, expandable smartphone for Verizon Wireless users.

Fast performance. Functional modular backs. Shatterproof screen. microSD card slot.

No headphone jack.

Comparisons and Conclusions I'm surprised to say this, but the Motorola Moto Z Force Droid is the most exciting phone I've seen this year. The screen, water resistance, expandable memory, and attachable backs combine the strengths of several of 2016's...

The shatterproof Moto Z Force has a bigger battery and a better camera (hands-on)

A phone that won't break. That's the dream. And it's one that became a reality last year when Motorola released the Droid Turbo 2. The phone featured what the company called ShatterShield, which protected the screen from cracking or shattering....

Moto Z Force review: Motorola's beefier Z smartphone is better without its mods

It's too bad Motorola's better-performing flagship phone takes a back seat to the svelte Moto Z. The Z Force is worth the higher price.

21-megapixel camera produces some of the best looking photos of any Motorola device ; 3500 mAh battery will get you through the day and then some

Z Force becomes heavy when a Moto Mod is attached ; The device gets really hot when it's plugged in and playing games

The Moto Z Force is one of the best smartphones Motorola's ever made, though it's best without any mods attached to it.

Moto Z and Moto Z Force (DROID) review

While it's take on ‘the future' needs to further prove itself, the potential of the new Moto Z line could take already pretty great smartphones to a whole new level.

-Design makes way for massive customization ; -Moto Display adds to an already great Quad HD screen ; -High end performance ; -microSD card slot ; -USB-C fast charging ; -Camera is responsive, worthy daily shooter ; -Moto Mods are a great idea executed...

-New metal design is more Lenovo than Moto ; -No headphone jack ; -Smaller battery hinders the Moto Z ; -Less detailed photos from the Moto Z ; -Somewhat shoddy processing in photos, exacerbated by low light ; -Moto Mods need to further prove their...

I recently purchased a Moto Z Force and got rid of my Galaxy S6. The phone has a great battery that lasted me an entire day. Motorola's version of marshmallow is basic and that is a good thing. I moved from Samsung which has a lot of added junk that I...
