Techradar Great Value 2018

Moto G5 Plus review

Moto's latest Plus ups the design and cuts the price

Doesn’t look or feel like a budget phone ; Inventive one button nav ; Stellar design and value

Lacks NFC (in US) and Moto Mod support ; Battery isn’t removable ; Iffy camera performance

Refreshed from top to bottom, the Moto G5 Plus has redefined itself and it didn't even have to. The premium build, competent specs and low price will suit deal-seekers and phone enthusiasts alike.

Moto G5 Plus review: A big dose of premium, without the prohibitive price tag

Compared to the G4 Plus the G5 is better sized, better designed, better looking, and with NFC (in the UK model) along with that nifty gesture-control

For the money it’s the best phone in its class ; Fingerprint sensor and gesture controls work well ; Solid metal build quality ; Can run apps and games really well

Camera close-up focus is poor ; Screen has a protector that lacks fitted finesse ; Not the most vibrant screen ; Some slow load times ; Not sold on the gold

That's the crux of the Moto G5 Plus: you won't find a better phone for £250.

Moto G5 Plus review: A great budget smartphone, but the G5S Plus offers marginal improvements

The Moto G5 Plus wasn't the budget masterpiece we were hoping for, but the G5S Plus improves on past mistakes

Great camera ; Sleek design

Average battery life ; Non-removable battery

If you’re a keen photographer, there’s nothing else that comes close to it at the price, but if you’re after something more practical, there are better handsets out there. Our current favourite is the Lenovo P2. Yes, you sacrifice camera quality, but...

Motorola Moto G5 Plus review

The thing that makes the Motorola Moto G5 Plus ( £477.95 at Amazon.co.uk ) the best budget phone on the planet is that, for the most part, it doesn't feel like one at all. It looks, feels and operates like a much pricier phone, which means that...

The splash-resistant Moto G5 Plus has a near stock version of Android Nougat, a good camera and video, and a metal build -- and it's extremely kind to your wallet.

There's no NFC on the US model, and audio sounds tinny through the built-in speaker.

With a long list of features you want and only a few that you don't, there is no better budget phone than Motorola's Moto G5 Plus.

Moto G5 Plus

For years now the Moto G5 has been the pinnacle of budget smartphones. Others have crammed in more specs and often a lower price, but none have constructed a phone that actually works like something that's double the price.

Motorola Moto G5 Plus review

Can the Moto G5 go big but stay budget?

Nippy performance for the cash ; Decent battery, with handy TurboCharging ; 4K video recording is a nice extra

Not as great value as the vanilla Moto G5 ; Screen only slightly bigger ; By-the-numbers design

A few bonus features over the standard Moto G5 don’t quite make up for the jump in price for this Plus-size model

Our in-depth Moto G5 Plus review takes a close look at the performance, battery life, camera tech of Lenovo's great-value mid-range mobile.

Sleek metal finish ; Great battery life ; Dependable camera

The Moto G5 Plus is a worthy continuation of the great value Moto G family, offering a more than satisfying user experience at an affordable price. Anyone after a dependable mobile snapper will be happy with the easy-to-use camera, while the impressive...

Moto G5 Plus review: The budget maker grows up, offers a balance of design and performance - Tech2

The Moto G5 Plus is probably the most important Moto G as it is the first time we see Moto launching a metal phone in the budget price segment. But, is it as good as its competition? Here is our in-depth analysis of the smartphone.

This is not only the best Moto G, but also the most expensive one. The 3GB RAM variant with 16GB storage is priced at Rs 14,999 and the 4GB RAM version with 32GB storage at Rs 16,999. Comparing the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage is...
