Motorola Milestone - Pocket-lint

This is a fantastic phone that brings multi-touch to the mix, however without Sense Ui, this is Android at its purest, for better or worse

Screen, non-exclusive, Wi-Fi, QWERTY keyboard, multi-touch, voice search

No emotion, no Google Maps navigation

Where the UK bound Motorola Milestone differs over the US Droid is mainly in its multi-touch support and the lack of CDMA support (i.e., so you can run it on UK operators). While the lack of Google Maps Navigation is annoying, the inclusion of Motonav...

Motorola Milestone review

Known as the Droid in the US - can it beat the HTC Hero?

Great browser ; Pinch and zoom multi-touch ; slick screen ; Judder free UI ; QWERTY keyboard ; Slim frame

Poor camera ; Unsightly lip below keys ; No Android overlay ; Industrial design

A great phone for the Android set, only bettered by the Hero. If you're after a QWERTY Android, this is the place to look.

Motorola Milestone XT701 review

We criticised the original Motorola Milestone XT701 smartphone for feeling awkward. Motorola has responded by ditching the slide-out physical keyboard on the Milestone XT701 in favour of a touchscreen keyboard — the change results in a lighter...

The Motorola Milestone XT701 uses the default Android music application, and also includes an FM radio, and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Other features include a built-in accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, digital compass and a GPS receiver....

Motorola Milestone

With an 854 x 480 3.7in capacitive multitouch screen, hardware keyboard and Android 2.0, this is Motorola's best handset yet.

The Milestone is a much more accomplished handset than the Dext, Motorola’s previous Android offering. It’s faster, has a much better screen, supports multi-touch input and is laden down with features. In most respects it’s also a better handset than...

The first phone to rock Android 2.0, the Motorola Milestone claims to be the most powerful Google-backed blower yet. But should you wait for the Nexus One?

Not without its niggles, but the Milestone is an excellent showcase for the powers of Android 2.0. A simple software update will make it a viable alternative to the Nexus One too

Motorola Milestone review

It's trite to call any mobile an 'iPhone killer', but the Motorola Milestone is the phone that pushed the Google Android OS across the pond, making it look a credible alternative to Apple's iconic smartphone.

The Motorola Milestone is a great phone, and it's easy to see why it caused a stir in the US. But time moves quickly in the mobile market, and Google’s Nexus One trumps it in most areas. Sure the Nexus lacks multi-touch but that may be reversed in the...

Motorola Milestone review

While the design may be a matter of taste, good battery life and a QWERTY keyboard don't make up for a plain Android experience and clunky design

Motorola Milestone Review

The Motorola Milestone has been a long time coming, particularly after a fairly underwhelming UK launch and the disappointing decision to rename it from the Droid in the USA. But more than that, the Milestone…

Motorola Milestone review

The arrival of the Milestone means that there is yet another manufacturer that uses the popular Android operating system: Motorola. The Motorola Milestone has a foldable QWERTY-keyboard, a 5.0 megapixel digital camera, a built-in GPS-antenna, HSDPA and...

A fter a successful introduction in the U.S., the Motorola Milestone is being introduced in more and more countries as part of Motorola’s comeback strategy. The Android operating system seems to be a good choice in terms of timing. We had high...

Still the flagship Google Android phone sold in Canada in terms of specs and OS version offered, the recently updated Motorola Milestone is proving to be a big win for Motorola as well as a great standard bearer for Android on Telus. Recent updates to...
