Motorola Milestone XT720 review

The Milestone impressed us, can its successor compete with the HTC Desire and iPhone 4?

Motorola Milestone XT720 - Pocket-lint

The Motorola Milestone XT720 comes across as an also ran, rather than a true competitor to the current cream of the crop

3.7-inch screen, android 2.1, 8-megapixel camera, HDMI out, FM radio

550Mhz not 1Ghz processor, Design not as complete as it could be,

Had the Milestone XT720 packed a Snapdragon 1Ghz processor inside rather than the 550Mhz offering, this review would have ended very differently.

Motorola Milestone XT720 review

Is there more to the Motorola Milestone XT720 than 720p video recording?

Great high-res screen ; Super camera ; FM radio works (just) without a headset attached ; Good Home screen for in car use

720p video is jerky ; Web browser doesn't reflow text ; Lacking sparkle overall ; Sometimes tricky to see the screen outdoors

We've been waiting for the Motorola Milestone XT720 for absolutely ages. When we looked at the Motoroi back in February, we said it was launching in Korea and destined to come to Europe.

Motorola Milestone XT720

This camera-centric smartphone is a bit long in the tooth but still worth considering.

High resolution display, Camera beats competition, Xenon flash

Plastic screen, Uses older version of Android, Sluggish processor

Motorola Milestone XT720 review

Great battery life and a large touchscreen don't often come in the same package, but the 720p video capture is disappointing and you'll need to buy a memory card.

Motorola Milestone XT720 Review

Motorola's follow-up to the Milestone has been a long time coming. Rocking an HD-shooting camera, a high-res 3.7-inch screen and having done away with the slide-out Qwerty, many see this as the company's…

Motorola Milestone XT720 review -

The Xenon flash enables the Milestone XT720 to take some cracking photos, even in relative darkness

The processor struggle to cope with the array of features, leading to a lethargic experience

Motorola Milestone XT720

Video star

With an 8-megapixel snapper, 720p recording, HDMI output and not a trace of MotoBlur to be seen, the XT720 is a solid entry in Motorola’s Android line up. It's just a shame that the processor is so weak when compared to other top-level Google phones

Motorola Milestone XT720 review

The Milestone XT720 is one of Motorola's flagship Android devices, running on version 2.1 of the operating system and coming with some impressive hardware specifications.

Great screen; good camera; useful business apps; HD output

Disappointing battery life; dropped calls; keyboard could be better

Priced at just £330 SIM-free, the Milestone is a good alternative to more expensive handsets such as the iPhone. This could be just the ticket for those looking for a powerful Android multimedia device.
