LG K7 review

Also known as LG Tribute 5, it pays homage to LG's signature design

Inexpensive price expected ; Large 5-inch display ; Smooth arc glass design

Low resolution 480p display ; Very basic phone design ; Stuck with Android 5.1

LG K7 or LG Tribute 5 is an affordable Android phone meant for prepaid carriers, like Boost Mobile in the US. Its 5-inch display and plastic design look and feel okay if you can handle the lower resolution 480p display.

LG K10 and LG K7 hands-on: LG at CES 2016

This year the CES expo in Las Vegas is mostly about HDR TVs and smart appliances (fridges, washing machines) rather than smartphones and slates. LG is among the few manufacturers to bring new mobile gadgets - the LG K10 and LG K7.

LG K7

The LG K7 is one of the most affordable phones you can get on T-Mobile, but many more powerful options are available unlocked for similar or less money.

Sturdy feel. Strong network performance and call quality. Expandable storage and removable battery.

Low-res display. Dated hardware and software. Limited internal storage.

Conclusions The LG K7 feels solid, offers good network connectivity, and can run most basic apps for $140. That might have been good enough a couple of years ago, but it's lacking in many departments compared with a lot of the affordable unlocked...

LG Tribute 5 (Boost Mobile)

The LG Tribute 5 on Boost Mobile is an affordable Android smartphone that feels good in hand, but is held back by heavy bloatware, a low-res display, and limited RAM.

Affordable. Comfortable-to-hold design. Removable battery. Expandable storage.

Heavy UI layer and bloatware. Limited RAM and internal storage. Low-res display. Weak camera.

Software and Conclusions The Tribute 5 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop , with LG's heavy UI layer on top. There are a number of changes to the system, including different app icons and screen transitions, a modified notification shade, and an altered...

LG K7 Smartphone Review

Social media with hurdles. With the K7, LG promises outstanding selfie-capability at an affordable price point. The 5-inch Android smartphone does many things right, but unfortunately doesn't quite deliver on LG's main promise.

inexpensive ; swappable battery ; sturdy case design ; display with lots of contrast ; quite fast ; doesn't get very hot ; no throttling

only 3.3 GB of available storage ; no LTE ; Android 5.1 ; mono speaker ; low resolution ; selfie camera isn't that great ; viewing angle stability is lacking ; display not adjusted right

The LG K7 is a good entry-level smartphone which impresses with decent build quality, a fast quad-core SoC, responsive operation and a decent communication feature set. Users looking for an inexpensive smartphone can't really go wrong with the 5-inch...

Take vanity to the next level with LG's selfie-optimized K7 smartphone

If you're anything like me, you probably can't count the number of times you've needed to take a photo of yourself in a dimly lit area. Enter the LG K7, a 5-inch smartphone running Android 5.1 Lollipop, and equipped with many of LG's selfie-minded...

Alas, hardware details are scant, and we don't have any word on a price, or availability. Models will also vary by region, with different hardware and colors determined by whether you opt for LTE, or grab a 3G model. Stay tuned for more , when we get a...

LG K7 LTE Express Review: Nothing impressive for its price

LG K7 LTE is a new budget 4G LTE smartphone priced at Rs 9,500. But does this budget 4G device live up to expectations? Here's our review

At this price, the LG K7 LTE is hard to recommend. We know that the Redmi Note 3, Le 1s, etc offer much better performance and cost around Rs 9,999 (2GB+16GB version) and Rs 10,999 (3GB RAM+ 32GB storage).
