LG Optimus M+ (MetroPCS) review: LG Optimus M+ (MetroPCS)

A little more than a year ago, MetroPCS released its first-ever Android smartphone, the LG Optimus M . Though its plastic build made it less glamorous-looking than its counterparts from different networks, the M was competitively priced and did not...

The LG Optimus M+ 's design has an attractive look, with its convex edges and slim build. Outdoor photo quality and speakerphone output quality are both decent.

The Optimus M+'s data connection is inordinately slow and spotty. Call quality is disappointing.

The design and specs of the affordable LG Optimus M+ surpass its predecessor's, but its data connection is poor even for MetroPCS.

LG Optimus M+ (MetroPCS)

The LG Optimus M+ is a good option for first-time smartphone buyers looking to save some money on MetroPCS.

Good call quality. Great multimedia support. Solid camera. Affordable plans.

No 3G. Specs are pretty low-end.

Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions There's an empty microSD card slot underneath the battery cover, in addition to 1.87GB of internal memory. My 32GB and 64GB microSD cards worked fine. The Optimus M+ functions as a versatile media player, and music...

LG Optimus M (MetroPCS) review

LG Optimus M (MetroPCS)

The LG Optimus M has a bright, colorful, and intuitive display. It ships with Android 2.2 and has Wi-Fi, EV-DO Rev. 0, GPS, a 3.2-megapixel camera, and Bluetooth.

The LG Optimus M can't play Flash video in the browser, and it lacks tethering and Wi-Fi hot-spot capabilities.

While not as advanced as the Optimus handsets on other carriers, the Optimus M is still a great entry-level Android phone for MetroPCS customers.

LG Optimus M (MetroPCS)

The Optimus M runs on a 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM7627, ARM11 processor. It also runs Android 2.2 (Froyo), which gives it a leg up over slower Android 2.1 devices with fewer features. There are five customizable home screens you can swipe between. MetroPCS...

Well-balanced feature set. Runs Android 2.2. Value-priced monthly plans

No 3G (or 4G). A little heavy

The LG Optimus M is a solid Android smartphone, and a great way to take advantage of the company's money-saving unlimited plans.

LG Optimus M Reviewed

The LG Optimus M is the first ever Android powered handset to arrive on MetroPCS. With a price of $230 with a no contract $50 monthly plan, does the Optimus have what it takes to target and grab entry level smartphone customers?

Overall the LG Optimus M is an 'Average' phone for the entry level smartphone market. Though the LG Optimus M has a higher price point at $230, the key is that you don't need a contract on MetroPCS. It's a flat $50 monthly fee with no contract after...

LG Optimus M Review by Sydney

The LG Optimus M. Not so long ago, MetroPCS was just another prepaid carrier with basic prepaid phones and cheap prepaid plans. You could buy a cheap phone for twenty bucks and get unlimited everything (talk, text, and web) for $40 a month.

Speedy processor performance; Stylish design; LG custom UI adds nice visual touches to stock Android

Pre-loaded with a lot of carrier "bloatware"; Data speeds were not the best

The Optimus M is a great option for MetroPCS customers and should definitely not be brushed off as a cheap low-end smartphone. The overall build of the phone, processor performance, and custom UI by LG come together excellently and make for a very...

"This phone sucks"

If you have the choice of buying this product, don't do it. This phone is horrible. I've had it for over a year now, and cannot stand it. The only reason I've have not gotten a new one before now is since it was so expensive. Factory resets don't work,...

It's a smartphone

Locks up screen, turns off on it's own, takes 5 minutes to make a call out at times. Locks up when trying to type a text message.
