LG Optimus 3D Max Review

How can you differentiate your product from an entire range of top-end Android handsets without having to compromise on the features? You simply add that missing dimension to it, and you can concoct a device with a completely different USP, adding on...

The LG Optimus 3D Max is priced at Rs. 30,500. It’s not exactly fair to compare it with the likes of the HTC One S (which we're in the process of reviewing), the Galaxy Note, the Xperia S and the others as this phone has its own little niche. However,...

LG Optimus 3D Max review: Hands-on

The LG Optimus 3D Max is the brand's second handset to feature a glasses-free 3D screen, but this time it packs the brand new 3D Games Convertor

The LG Optimus 3D Max looks like a definitely improvement on its predecessor. One of the biggest complaints about the LG Optimus 3D was that it was too bulky, so LG has taken this on board and given the new handset a noticeably slimmer profile. The...

LG Optimus 3D P920

In the world of high-end Android handsets, manufacturers have already gone above and beyond in cramming in the absolute best of technology into a package small enough to fit in one's pocket. Massive 4-inch screens – check, dual-core processors – check,...

With an MRP of Rs. 37,000, we await the street price, which will only be known once the phone hits the shelves. If the launch price of the Optimus 2x is anything to go by, then don't be surprised if LG drops it all the way to 32K. At this price, it...

LG Optimus 3D review

Last year we were talking about 3D TVs and this year, it seems, 3D is fighting its way into other devices. We're yet to really see people proclaiming that 3D is essential so it remains somewhat niche in its appeal, but for how long? The LG Optimus 3D...

It's a 3D phone, HDMI, LG's customisations make for a nice user experience

Size will be too big for some, design isn't quite premium, some unexpected slowdown takes the shine off things

A technological achievement slightly marred by day-to-day foibles. It's big and bold, but won't suit everyone

LG Optimus 3D review

Is the world's first glasses-free 3D smartphone worth the premium price?

Excellent 3D screen and effect ; Big, accurate keyboard ; Some good LG social and web interface additions ; Smooth 2D 1080p video recording

Poor battery life ; Bland hardware design ; Slow to unlock ; Can also be slow to respond to some touches ; Not running the latest version of Android

If you're happy to take a punt on glasses-free 3D being here to stay, the 3D features of the LG Optimus 3D are certainly enough to warrant its high price. The 3D video's great, with a genuine sense of depth coming across in the footage.

LG Optimus 3D Max hands-on

Like its predecessor, the LG Optimus 3D Max offers glasses-free 3D tech, but it's been improved by dropping some size and weight. Will this latest iteration put 3D in more people's pockets? Stay tuned for a full review soon.

3D without wearing daft glasses ; Slimmer and lighter than predecessor

Won't ship with latest version of Android ; 3D effect won't suit everyone

LG Optimus 3D review

The LG Optimus 3D can shoot stills and video in 3D thanks to twin cameras on its back, and it can run some 3D applications. Its only rival, the HTC Evo 3D is limited to just shooting video and stills in 3D with no applications support.

We aren’t convinced that 3D has a place in the smartphone world, although we do appreciate the way LG offers more than just 3D photo and video capture. Aside from this, the LG Optimus 3D is a capable handset, albeit an expensive one.

LG Optimus 3D

LG's Optimus 3D is one of the most hotly anticipated handsets of the year, thanks to its stereoscopic camera and glasses-free 3D screen.

Speedy performance ; Good call quality ; Glasses free 3D screen ; 3D camera

Short battery life ; Screen's 3D sweetspot is very tight

The handset's 4.3inch screen is obviously one of its key selling points. In 2D mode it really can’t be faulted as it's extremely bright and has deep rich black levels and bright, punchy colours. The resolution of 800 by 400 pixels also ensures that...

LG Optimus 3D P920 review

A standard Android design places four buttons at the screen bottom, and you'll find HDMI and MicroUSB connections, plus a volume rocker and power button on the side. Nothing new here, one might think. But turn over the LG Optimus 3D P920: if the twin...

LG's Optimus P920 offers a glimpse of what's to come for consumer technology, but 3D is still far from mainstream. If you don't already have a second 3D playback device, you may find yourself quickly tiring of the functionality when used only with...
