LG Marquee (Boost Mobile) review: LG Marquee (Boost Mobile)

Although the Marquee phone was released just last month, you might have seen it before on Sprint's network (and perhaps you saw it even before then, since the LG Marquee is Sprint's version of the LG Optimus Black ).

The LG Marquee has a svelte and ultralight design that complements its stunning Nova display. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi. Call quality is great.

I don't dig the LG Marquee's sluggish performance and oddball Mobile ID customization feature.

The LG Marquee's slim design and jam-packed feature set make it Boost Mobile's flagship phone. But its high price (even without a contract) and slow processor will make it a tough sell.

LG Marquee (Boost Mobile)

Boost Mobile has a number of good smartphones, but they all seem to lack a certain wow factor. The $279.99 LG Marquee probably won't make anyone cancel their current contract and rush over to Boost, but its exceptionally bright, rich display delivers a...

Super-bright screen. Thin design. Comfortable to hold and use. Good call quality

Bluetooth audio issues while watching videos

The LG Marquee has a bright, beautiful screen and plenty of Android power for Boost Mobile users.

LG Marquee (Sprint)

The LG Marquee stands out with its ultra-bright glass touch screen and slim design, although some performance issues mar the overall experience.

Incredibly bright screen. Very thin design. Good call quality.

No 4G or dual-core processor. Buggy video playback and voice dialing.

Apps, Multimedia, and Conclusions The 1GHz single-core TI OMAP 3630 Cortex A8 processor and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS keep things moving along at a decent clip. LG left the OS relatively unscathed, so it's mercifully simple to navigate. Sprint ID is...

LG Marquee (Sprint) review: LG Marquee (Sprint)

LG is so confident about the LG Marquee's fashion credentials that the company debuted the phone not at a tech trade show, but during New York Fashion Week. And no wonder, because the Marquee is essentially the Sprint version of the LG Optimus Black ,...

The LG Marquee has a svelte and ultralight design that complements its stunning Nova display. It ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi. Call quality is fantastic.

We have mixed feelings about the LG Marquee's oddball Sprint ID customization feature, and the Marquee is not the phone for you if you want 4G.

With its fashionable good looks and affordable price, the LG Marquee is one of our top choices among Android phones for Sprint if you don't need 4G.

Review: LG Marquee for Sprint

LG's Marquee Android smartphone for Sprint is a solid offering from the Korean handset maker. While it may not be a flagship device with every bell and whistle, it performs when and where it counts most.

Sprint LG Marquee

Attractive and sleek, the Sprint LG Marquee is light on the frills. The LG overlay lets users keep customized folders for applications, and the phone offers Sprint ID customization. Its 5-megapixel camera delivers good-quality shots and contains a...

"GREAT PHONE!!! :-)"

This is an awesome little phone that does what's it's supposed to do and more. The phone will need to be rooted to unlock it's full potential but once that's done you're off to the races. Mine is running at 1.4GHz right now and IT WILL support the...

Light, slim, FAST, cheap, and on the Boost shrinkage plan. You can't beat $40 a month which is where I'm at.

Battery life. I just bought 2 extra 1800mah batteries and keep a charger in the car. No worries.

Very disappointed in CNET's review of this phone.

Extremely disappointed that CNET rates this phone akin to Google Nexus or Blackberry Bold. This phone is second rate in almost every department, struggles to utilize the Android/Google features, and is extremely behind the curve in the camera and photo...

Thin. Screen is OK.

Terrible camera. You can't send photo text messages. Terrible for work email. Imperfect Gmail syncing. Buggier than other Android phones, would often shut off. Problems with Google Maps. Screen sensitivity was lacking. Terrible battery life.

"Eats batteries"

Ordered a second battery to carry with me. Wall charging and car charging would take all day. I was too stressed out with weak and/or dead batteries so I exchanged it for the ZTE Warp. Will be listing my extra battery on Amazon.

Nice build quality. Decent screen resolution

Internal earpiece located at very top of phone, requiring you to place phone slightly lower on your ear. Eats batteries and take way too long to charge. I thought this phone was defective so I exchanged it for the same model. Same situation.
