LG Cookie KP500

It looks similar to LG's award-winning Renoir so can we expect a similar showing from the company's Cookie?

LG Cookie KP500 review

The iPhone lookalike for those hit by the credit crunch

Touchscreen control ; Affordable price ; Minimalist design ; Onscreen widgets ; 3-megapixel camera ; Music player ; MicroSD memory card support ; Mostly good user interface ; Virtual Qwerty keyboard text input option

No smartphone capability ; No 3G ; No Wi-Fi ; No GPS ; Texting can be tricky ; Virtual Qwerty keyboard keys too small for quick typing ; Motion-controlled games limited ; Widgets are limited ; Camera quality isn't great ; Average quality supplied...

It doesn't do all the high-end stuff that other top-of-range touchscreen models do, and its text inputing will put off some. But the user interface is generally good to use. And for mobile buyers on a restricted budget who want their share of...

LG KP500 Cookie

LG has gone touchscreen crazy recently, launching a range of different devices with varying feature sets. The Renoir obviously is at the top of the pile with multimedia and camera options aplenty, perhaps making your compact camera feel a little...

Budget touchscreen handset in a slim shell

Not as fully-featured as the Renoir, but a fraction of the price

That said, there’s not a whole lot not to dislike with the LG Cookie, when you consider that this is a touchscreen budget mobile phone. The camera may only be 3-megapixel, but it’s almost as fully-featured as the Renoir, minus the luxuries such as GPS...

LG has kindly baked a touch phone for punters on a strict prepay budget. But is the Cookie tasty or stale?

LG Cookie (LG KP500) Review

Matt mentioned that LG seem to be coming up with some popular touchscreen handsets. Well it seems that LG have created a much more affordable touchscreen handset with the LG Cookie KP500. The Cookie comes in a range of colours and has a...

LG KP500 Mobile Phone : LG KP500 (Cookie) Mobile Phone

This is a touch screen phone (no keyboard) but for those whose handwriting is better than mine almost everything can be written using the provided stylus, however there is a soft keypad for people like me.

The KP500 mobile phone from LG, also referred to as 'Cookie' measures 10.5x5.5x1cm and weights less than 90grams. Mine was black with a metallic grey strip around the edge. The face has a 6.5x4cm screen. The 140 page User Guide is very comprehensive....

LG - Cookie KP500

LG certainly has a knack for bizarre names when it comes to mobile phones. We don't know why the KP500 is also called the Cookie, and can't begin to hazard a guess. But maybe that's not ...

The LG Cookie is a touchscreen mobile phone without a premium price tag. It looks good and has some clever features, but an average camera, lack of 3G and shortage of internal memory are among the let-downs.

LG Cookie (KP500)

Want a nice-looking touchscreen mobile but on a budget? LG's Cookie might satisfy your hunger

Classy design / Good value / Lightweight / Large screen / Intuitive and responsive interface

No 3G, Wi-Fi or GPS / 12fps video recording / No camera auto focus or flash / Proprietary headphone jack

All in all, the Cookie has left a pretty sweet taste in our mouths. If you’re the sort of person who keeps losing your phone and don’t want to resort to lugging something ugly and dispensable around – and you’re not going to let a little thing like...
