REVIEW: LG enV2 from Verizon Wireless

For whatever reason, the first LG enV (VX9900) from Verizon Wireless proved to be an incredibly popular cell phone. The form factor was certainly a unique one, because it allowed you to have regular voice calls on a candybar phone, but you could also...

In terms of the good, the LG enV2 from Verizon Wireless is much better looking than its predecessor while still being able to maintain the same level of QWERTY utility on the inside. The smaller form factor is a definite plus and you don't have to be...

LG enV2

This messaging phone sequel offers a slimmer design and bigger display while still including a comfy keyboard, GPS, and plenty of multimedia amenities.

Sleeker design and larger keypad ; Bigger internal display ; Comfortable keyboard ; Fast and accurate GPS ; Good call quality

Tiny front screen ; Choppy video playback ; 2.5mm audio jack

Like a DJ that takes a good song and remixes it into something better, LG made just the right tweaks with the enV2. There aren't too many enhancements aside from the physical features, but typing remains easy and is perfect for messaging fans. Further,...

Review: LG enV2

Where to begin? Apparently some folks liked the first enV-nothing wrong with that. Hideous, but comfortable to hold, the handset featured a spacious keyboard, and...

Bluetooth. Vibrant interior screen. External microSD slot. Stereo speakers

VZ Navigator (Pay me!), IMs as SMS (Pay me!), POP email (Pay me!) and the walled garden web “browser” (Pay me!) will jack up that monthly bill. No Wi-fi

LG enV2 review: LG enV2

We'll admit that the LG EnV2 was a bit of a surprise to us when we first heard about it. We had initially thought the LG Voyager was the final successor to the high-end messaging phone line from LG and Verizon Wireless. (As you'll recall, the original...

The LG EnV2 is a slim and attractive handset, with a roomy keypad, bright dual displays, a good multimedia feature set, a full QWERTY keyboard, plus great call quality.

The LG EnV2 does not offer newer features from the first EnV. Also, photo quality was mediocre, and the external display can be a bit too small. Streaming video quality could also be a lot better.

The LG EnV2 is not much more than a slimmed down version of the EnV, but it still serves as an excellent high-end messaging phone.

LG enV2 VX9100

Verizon's LG enV2 can get the whole family into text messaging.

Terrific keypads. Good voice quality. Easy to use.

Text messages aren't threaded. Limited AIM client and Web browser.

LG enV2 Review

A phone for serious text message users, the LG enV2 is a definite upgrade from its larger and less stylish predecessor, the enV. This latest handset offers a full QWERTY keyboard, music player with Bluetooth stereo support, microSD memory card slot and...

If users are into text messaging and emails on the go, then the enV2 should be at the top of their cell phone shopping list. In addition to an ergonomically sound QWERTY keyboard, this well-designed phone provides standard messaging options for the no...

LG enV2 (Verizon) Review

[singlepic=404,465,380,,]Verizon's enV2, otherwise known as the VX9100 is a texter's delight.  Hidden beneath the standard keypad is a complete QWERTY keyboard sporting two additional soft keys for on screen demands.  This iteration of the enV series...

LG enV2

Verizon and LG shrunk the EnV and the results are good. While the original EnV was an innovative but (very) big and expensive high-end phone, the EnV2 is smaller, cheaper, and slots into the middle of VZW's messaging phone lineup. Text addicts who...

Sleeker and smaller than the original EnV. Comfortable QWERTY keyboard and QVGA internal display make texting fun. Huge external keypad makes dialing easy. VCAST music and video support. Support for laptop tethering (phone as modem)

External keypad makes the phone look like a retro calculator, although I suppose that could be seen as a good thing. Space bar is small and oddly placed. Verizon's menu system can be confusing. Limited Bluetooth functionality. Still a little bulky
