Moto G4 2016

What can £169 get you in the smartphone world of 2016? You can forget about the Samsung Galaxy S7, iPhone 6S or Huawei P9 – you'll need three or four times that for those. It will get you a new Moto G, though, and for many that will be plenty.

Moto G4 review

The fourth generation Moto G is here

Low price ; Bright Full HD display ; Impressively powerful

Missing NFC feature ; No fingerprint scanner ; Lack of Moto Maker options

The Moto G4 is an impressive improvement upon older generations of Motorola's most popular handset and it may well be the best phone you can buy on a budget.

The new Moto G4 for 2016 is here with a bigger brother, the Moto G4 Plus. Here's what we make of the regular model which is one of the best phones under £200.

Motorola Moto G4 review: At this price, nothing else comes close

The G4 packs everything you need from an everyday phone into a water-resistant body. And it charges a rock-bottom price for the total package.

The Moto G4's big, bold screen and junk-free software make it a pleasure to use throughout the day. Its ability to survive a dunking will appeal to the clumsy among us.

Processor performance is great for everyday tasks, but gamers will want to shop elsewhere.

With its big, bold screen, water-resistant design and rock-bottom price, the Moto G4 is a dazzling deal.

Moto G4 Review: In Depth

Offering Full HD visuals, a 13-megapixel camera & some strong specs for the price, is the Moto G4 the best budget phone of 2016? Here's our full G4 review.

Customisable design ; Crisp, attractive screen ; Smooth performance ; Easy-to-use cameras

Bigger build

If you’re after a flagship-style experience – awesome cameras, smooth performance, strong visuals – but for a third of the price, Motorola has once again delivered with the Moto G4. Factor in the Moto Maker customisation and vanilla Android OS and...

Motorola Moto G4 review: A better buy than the Moto G5, but should you wait for the G6?

The Moto G4 may be an older model now, but it's every bit as good as the new Moto G5

As an all-round package, it’s hard to find fault with the Motorola Moto G4. It may be a touch more expensive than last year’s Moto G, but since it’s better in most ways – with superior battery life, a better camera, a brighter, bigger screen and a...
